Whatever happened to that “post-racial” America we were supposed to be living in?
Whatever happened to those warm and fuzzy feelings we got when we elected America’s first black president?
Whatever happened to being so proud of ourselves for having bridged the racial divide?
Didn’t last very long.
Today, America does not seem to be very post-racial or very united, “teachable moments” not withstanding. Just about a year ago, we were able to laugh about things that don’t seem very funny today.

Largely overlooked in the understandably good feelings generated by the election of our first black president was the simple fact that white America did not vote for him.
Most white Americans voted for John McCain. In fact, Barack Obama lost the white vote in 2008 by a landslide. While Obama won the overall vote by 53 percent to 46 percent, he lost among white voters by 55 percent to 43 percent.
Whenever I give speeches and mention that no Democratic president since Lyndon Johnson has won the white vote, I always see some head shaking in the audience, as if that could not possibly be true.(continued)

Contrary to what the mainstream media and leftist blogosphere have been saying, America’s dissatisfaction with Barack Obama has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He was chosen to be the hand puppet of well bankrolled leftist fascists for that very reason. If all else fails, call them racists.

It’s scary how much I agree with that statement. Except now, if you could somehow chart inter-racial hatred, in the 60’s it was on the downswing and now it’s on the upswing. I fully believe that 0bama will set race relations back 60 years. And it’s not so much an issue of race, per se, at least to me. It’s the idea that someone could be so antagonistic and wanting revenge against both his own country and that country’s people. If it IS his own country. If they ARE his people. It is literally a blood hatred, as I perceive it.
Nothing he says and nothing he wants to do suggest anything other than him being very much at terrible odds with this country, its’ traditions, its’ institutions, and its’ great achivements. Beneficiary of ALL of those things, he wants no part of ANY of them. It is the towering height of ingratitude. He does nothing but apologize for the US, he wants nothing to remain as it has been.
Without “racism”, real or perceived, the Commie DemocRAT party could not survive. The ‘RATS feed off of it.

I agree but I need to clarify that I didn’t mean white/black hatred. I was thinking about the white on white hatred between those who supported civil rights and those who didn’t. It seems just as hostile today between conservatives of all colors and liberals of all colors. The hate is thick and it is riping this country apart. Just what America’s foreign and domestic enemies want to see....

There are people in this country that will positively melt if they're accused of being racist...even when totally fabricated and completely untrue.
It has proven to be an effective "off-balancing" technique because so many will trip over themselves to illustrate otherwise. If accused, I heartily laugh it off as absurd...any other response makes one look defensive.
I see and agree with your point. Our common point, I believe, is that the tactics and efforts of this regime are working to divide the populace and to pit citizen against citizen. Right, left, white or black, it’s nauseating to see and to live through, and if anything, it appears to be growing in intensity.

a bit of journalistic integrity on this would be nice,concerning the fact that we disagree with zero due to the fact that he’s a communist,rather than that he’s half black,but I nwont’nt hold my breath waiting for it to happen
