I happen to know that the National Guard troops and most, if not all, of the regulars are people just like us. I really don’t see this internment thing going very far. Couple that with the vast extended families that most of us have and I believe that they’d have a pretty rough time. It might work with some of the dysfunctional types who have very tenuous family ties and who are in and out of detention anyway. But other than that, I don’t see this going anywhere.
It doesn't take all of the Guard ,just enough to secure the armory.
Once the bad guys have a heavy machine gun even a large group of patriotic ,but unarmed, people are done .
You’d be surprised what people would be willing to do in desperate situations or the threat of them. I wish I could say I had your confidence.
