So here we are in August, time for a little summer vacation. President Barack Obama is taking Michelle and the kids out on a Western swing to see some of America’s most famous national parks.
Next Friday, August 14, they will fly out to Bozeman, Montana and the next day will visit Yellowstone National Park, home of the Old Faithful geyser, in nearby Wyoming. Later that day they head to Grand Junction, Colorado.
On August 16, it’s on to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. They end up in Phoenix for the president to address the convention of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Weather prediction: It’ll be hot in Phoenix. They’re back in Washington on August 17.

Both the VFW and the American Legion lost a lot of my respect with the treatment that they gave VietNam vets in the late sixties and early seventies. If at some point during Adolf Obama’s visit to the VFW Convention I see no signs that they remember they all took an oath to defend the Constitution, it will only cement my feelings towards them.

President Bush couldn’t even go to his ranch without the Dems accusing him of taking too much vacation.
Since my husband and I started a family 13 years ago, our family has never gone on a vacation. In this economy, this president’s family shouldn’t be taking any vacations, especially when we’re the ones who have to pay for secret service, etc., and most of us can’t even afford a vacation for ourselves.
I think that he is too arrogant to care. Maybe the BC is here in AZ. lol

Wrong. I lived in Europe, have traveled there, have relatives there. In my work career, have known many Europeans.
Most Europeans admire America and Americans.
I can’t speak for Obama. We heard his wife, so that is a clue.
My guess is many Europeans wonder why we elected this leftist. The general trend there has been rightward of late.
I think they will find things a bit rugged, for Chicago city folks.
I doubt he will do a Town Hall in Cody Wyoming. No local union thugs to bus in to rough up the locals.

Too bad it isn’t possible to hang “Obama/Joker-Socialist” posters on the sides of the bison blocking his motorcade.
