It will be a three-way race in the upcoming special election in the 23rd congressional district.
North County Conservative Party leaders endorsed Lake Placid accountant Doug Hoffman on Friday, giving him their line on the ballot.
Hoffman will go up against Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava and a yet-to-be-named Democratic candidate in the election to replace Rep. John McHugh....

Many conservatives feel that Scozzafava's record isn't conservative enough to warrant their party's line.
"I have said 'I am the conservative Republican' in this race. Today, (NYS Conservative Party) Chairman Mike Long and the Conservative County Chairs from the 23rd CD confirmed that," Hoffman said in a statement.
ANGRY that is.
Calm down, take your meds.
I certainly didn’t say that I blamed conservatives for anything. I am a conservative.
I will comment again that the GOP seems likely to fumble away another Republican seat to the Dems. Michael Steele fiddles while Obama marches on to victory after victory.
The GOP nominee is a rabid leftist moonbat who the Democrats tried to get to run under their label. The people of this district had no say in her coronation by a handful of local party chieftains. The Conservative nominee is the only acceptable candidate here.
They fumbled it when local party leaders (Steele had nothing to do with it) appointed this liberal slag as the Republican nominee (no primary elections in NY house specials). She's playing for the other team. Almost switched to run for the democrats. She's a radical partial-birth abortion and gay marriage supporter married to a top union scumbag. The Conservative party candidate is the only choice her.

Steve!
Thanks so much for posting this. I was for Kelly, but sign me up. If Hoffman is reasonably acceptable on social issues, I will drive north and join the effort. It is being discussed by various pro-family groups.
Let me read up on Hoffman.
I NEVER DO 3RD PARTY STUFF. But Dede is TOAST. Count me in.
CONSERVATIVES ENDORSE HOFFMAN
North Country Businessman secures position on ballot!
Statement by Doug Hoffman, candidate for U.S. Congress ( NY-23-CD ) upon receiving the endorsement of the New York State Conservative Party:
“I am proud to accept the endorsement of the New York State Conservative Party. For nearly half a century they have fought for fiscal responsibility on all levels of government and for personal freedoms for all New Yorkers. I have said: “I am the conservative Republican” in this race. Today, Chairman Mike Long and the Conservative County Chairs from the 23rd CD confirmed that. They know that I will fight against wasteful government spending, ever growing deficits, and the business as usual crowd in Washington. They know I will stand-up for 2nd Amendment rights, a strong military and the personal freedoms of all New Yorkers. They know that I will always remember this day and the faith they have shown in me.”
Conservative Party leaders from throughout the 23rd Congressional District rallied behind Lake Placid accountant Douglas L. Hoffman in Syracuse Friday after three other potential candidates for the seat being vacated by Army Secretary-designate John M. McHugh said they would support the Lake Placid accountant.

Maybe not. Maybe an accountant will look like someone Congress needs. I would love to see the Rino GOP and Democrats lose some congressional elections to third party conservatives.
Better for them to see that happen than to keep up the Rino pup tent ruse until they are facing a conservative running against them in the Presidential election - another Perot.
Man, the GOP needs to snap to it and get the Rinos under control or they are going to really mess us up.
Will this be a special election or will it be held in November?
By the way, the Conservative Party recently announced that for Mayor of New York City, the nominee will be Reverend Steven Chrisopher.
