Woman Who Said She Was ‘Just A Mom’ At Town Hall Meeting Is Exposed As A Republican Operative
NBC26 ^ | 08/07/2009 | NBC26

Rep. Steve Kagen (D-WI) faced a “heated” discussion about health care at a town hall meeting yesterday, with people in the crowd who were heckling, interrupting, and filibustering him.

One vocal attendee was a woman named Heather Blish, who identified herself as “just a mom from a few blocks away” and “not affiliated with any political party.” When interviewed by the local NBC affiliate, Blish insisted she was not a member of the Republican Party. “I left the party,” she said. Blish’s statements, however, are distortions.

Hey Dallas,

please don’t think I was implying that you chose the wrong word, I was just trying to say that the left will defend their choice of words and will twist things around.

thanks for sharing the vid!

Well, is she a mother or is she not? “Mom” may be the way she chooses to define herself.

What an idiot reporter.

> Moreover, why should she have to tell them what party she’s with?

She volunteered that she was not with any political party. It is really unfortunate that she lied. It gives the MSM ammo to say, “See? They’re liars.”

Stand up, exercise your free speech rights, be proud of your political views, don’t lie. That’s the way to do it.

So let me get this straight. Somehow it is not appropriate for a citizen from the same represented district, if they are from an opposition party, to go talk to or meet or dispute with the Representative of their District?

Hold the phone. For 230 years the People of the United States have stood up for that very right supposedly protected by the First Amendment. And For the past 50 years then the disciples of Saul Alinksy have been violating this rather sudden media concern for civility of speech.

Gosh, then you'd think he'd be upset about the woman who organized the Million Mom March, who also claimed she was 'just a mom'. Turned out she was the sister of Morris Deas, a well known political organizer, and she had worked as a producer for CBS news. Or Senator Patty Murray, who campaigned as just a 'mom in tennis shoes', when she'd been active in politics for many years.

I guess it's only nefarious when conservative women start speaking out.

To cower before this kind of onslaught is simply giving the left a license to intimidate, as well as to ignore their own identical “transgressions”.

Exactly. If one is a Republican, say it loud and proud, and be sure to say that you don't like excessive government spending, no matter WHICH party is doing it.

Yea but as I said, she volunteered that so that she could get her words out without being totally cut off... besides, her lying about her political affiliations doesn’t change the question she was asking. It was like Joe the Plumber, where people started attacking the person and not the question.

Which she said she left. And it appears she did in Feb 2008.

She wasn’t a lowly campaign worker. She was Vice-Chair of her county Republican Party

Well then how dare her have an opinion!
