Barack Obama faces revolt over health care overhaul

US President Barack Obama faced a growing revolt against his $1.5 trillion health care reforms as his approval rating slumped to an all-time low and Democratic congressmen received death threats.

On the eve of Mr Obama's 200th day as president, his ratings slumped to 50 per cent, while a series of public meetings called by Democrats to promote the reforms have degenerated into mob scenes and a congressman received a death threat.

With progress of a health bill - which the White House had hoped for in July - stalled on Capitol Hill and rising concern over Mr Obama's handling of the economy, his national approval rating fell by seven per cent from last month. The new low is a far cry from the stratospheric ratings of his heady first days in office.

Democratic congressmen charged with selling Mr Obama's controversial plans to reform the US health care system have become a target of public anger over fears that middle income Americans will be hit hardest by rising insurance premiums to cover the cost of improving care for the poor.

They have been confronted by jeers, catcalls and accusatory rhetoric at the start of the summer recess - and worse.

Representative Brad Miller of North Carolina said he would not be hosting any "town hall" events this month and would instead make himself available to constituents for private one-on-one discussions about health care reform after his life was threatened.

"The call to the DC office was, 'Miller could lose his life over this'," LuAnn Canipe, Mr Miller's communications director, told the Talking Points Memo website.

"Our staffer took it so seriously, he confirmed what the guy was saying. He said, 'sir is that a threat?' and at that time our staffer was getting the phone number off caller ID and

Obama is calling out his followers not just to snitch on anyone opposinfg his plans, but to physically attend and contest the townhall meetings. Like a bunch of brown shirts.

Right now, the dem and RINO reps fear their constituents because they are upset over the trashing of America and a destructive health care plan. So, they are coming on their own, in droves, to let their feelings be known.

While trying to paint this grassroots, individual reaction as somehow contrived, the marxists contrive their own response.

Well, it is time more and more Americans rise to this challenges and run these people out of town on a rail.

MY LETTER TO THE WHITEHOUSE AND OBAMA ABOUT FREE SPEECH

Sides are being drawn. The President has come out and urged his supporters to "turn us in" if we speak out against this monstrosity health bill, while at the same time telling them to take to the streets in support of the Health Plan monstrisity.

So be it.

This is getting to a stage where we have to stand up straight. We're not like the Jews in Germany and Poland, we're not like the Russian farmers or Chinese peasants.

We know our rights, we will not be cowed into submission, and are willing to fight and die for those rights if necessary...and we are armed.

I love this country, I love the constitution and the rule of law based on it...but this is the opposite of all of that and is the fast road to tyranny unless we stand and stop it.

So, what I will do now is speak up all the louder, redouble my efforts, and challenge them straight to their marxist faces.

If they want to curtail my free speech, they are going to have to literally fight me over it.

Some FReepers think Bozo will manufacture violence at town hall meetings so he can call out the guard, he doesn't dare call out the guard yet, but what will happen is that all the CS democrat congresscritters will hide behind phone town halls citing death threats by the violent right wing extremist!

We can't let that stop us, we must go to their offices, we must hold town halls using card board cut outs of the absent congresscritters and make you tube videos of the meetings while attendees read off provisions in the actual bill.

Please do not forget that Grandma and Grandpa have to have MANDATORY “end-of-life” counseing on a five year basis or whenever they have reason to be hospitalized. They will be assessed as to their ability to vote (Democratic, of course) and if they will be able to contribute to society with little or no prodding to do so. Meaning they are able to attend all Obamanots meetings to worship His Majesty, the One. If they are not able to do so, off to the Planned Grandparenhood Clinic with them!!1
