Folks fail to realize how good Faces really was.
And more good stuff on a regular basis. He keeps advancing his craft, when guys like Pagie seem to have hit the wall. Not that I don’t like some of Page’s stuff, but there’s no comparison really. Page immensely outsold Beck, but that’s not a judgement on ability and creativeness.
