It's official. The U.S. is no longer engaged in a "war on terrorism." Neither is it fighting "jihadists" or in a "global war."

President Obama's top homeland security and counterterrorism official took all three terms off the table of acceptable words inside the White House during a speech Thursday at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington think tank....

Excuse me if I am getting this wrong but a global war on terrorism can’t really end until a.)the opposite side (and all of their allies), stop their global attempt across many fronts to terrorize us, b.) we surrender or c.) they surrender.

Call it what you like but it doesn not seem that any of those things have happened. So either the war goes on or somebody surrendered while we were trading in our clunkers for cash.
