Where was Barack Obama born?
It’s a fair question.
But we still don’t know the answer because Obama won’t tell us, because he remains the most mysterious man ever to sit in the Oval Office.
This week I appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s No. 1 rated “The O’Reilly Factor” to discuss the controversy over Obama’s birth certificate, along with syndicated radio host Mike Gallagher. [See the video of my appearance — Click Here Now.]
Let me make clear that I believe Obama was born somewhere in the state of Hawaii. Days after his birth, a small legal notice was printed in the local newspaper announcing his birth.
And the head of Hawaii's Health Department has stated that he reviewed pertinent documents and that Obama was indeed born in that state.
So, those who believe Obama was born outside the United States, such as in Kenya, are simply out to lunch.
But the real story here is about Obama’s failure to release his birth certificate

I still say that the founders MUST have meant for the president to have TWO parents who were American citizens. It just doesn’t make sense otherwise. The only possible reason for the requirment of “natural born” citizen rather than just citizen is to avoid the possibility of electing a chief executive and commander-in-chief who might owe allegiance to another nation. With this in mind what good would it be if the father can be a non-citizen? This leaves open the possibility of an American president fathered by someone such as Adolf Hitler. It just doesn’t make sense to think they DIDN’T have an understanding that natural born meant both parents had to be citizens.
If the constitution were written to satisfy present day politicians it would be ten thousand pages long because every word would have to include a definition. The current carelessness in use of language is one of the major reasons we find ourselves in the situation we face now. I offer as evidence the fact that huge numbers of Americans behave as if the word “change” only refers to positive change. Our eleven year old grandson just last week informed my wife and me that,”Obama lied, he said he would change things and all he has done is make things worse”. I had to explain to him that while I agree on the lying part, obama certainly has changed things, making things worse definitely qualifies as change. Don’t tell me he is just a kid, I saw a poll result the other day saying only fifty one percent of Americans stil believe Obama will bring “real change” to government.
There are probably a number of other anomalies in his background, but these would be real eye-openers for many.
Personally, I am not trying to get him out on a "technicality." This has to do with the Constitution and the Rule of Law, the very foundation of our Republic. Obama has failed to provide the primary documents to prove conclusively that he is eligible to be President, i.e., natural born. I believe that this issue needs to be resolved as our foreign born population continues to increase dramatically from its current 40 million and with 400,000 "anchor babies" being born annually.
Immigrants account for one in 8 U.S. residents, the highest level in more than 80 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history. And by 2050, one in 5 residents of the U.S. will be foreign-born.
The Supreme Court has a duty to defend and protect the Constitution. Bringing this issue before them would be useful and appropriate.

Again, I don't view this as "legal prestidigitation," or an attempt to remove him on a technicality, but rather compliance with our Constitution. Interestingly, the senate felt compelled to pass a resolution [Obama was one of the sponsors] that John McCain was eligible to run for the Presidency. McCain did provide a copy of his real birth certificate, not a secondary document.
The question you should be asking along with anyone who claims to be a journalist, is why doesn't Obama release the document and put an end to this speculation? As is often the case, the cover-up is worse than the crime.

I'm just not sure how best to serve my curiosity, given the quite complex nature of the problem. Many posters here are very, very sure that there's a simple way forward, but not me.
There’s one other tiny piece of evidence — smoke, if you will — indicating the possibility of a fire.
A young attorney at a Chicago firm associated with Obama wrote a law review article — out of the blue — saying that the natural birth requirement was not just outdated but the stupidest provision. The article was heavily resourced and dated in about 2005, the year after BO won his Senate seat, and after he was anointed by George Soros as the Democrats’ great black hope. I glanced at the article and it mentioned many American politicians who are denied the Presidency because of their natural birth status — the Governator, Jennifer Granholm of Michigan, a couple others — but curiously didn’t mention Obama.
Coincidence? I think not. But I expect that most people said “Shhh” afterward so as to not raise any more questions.

No, sorry, but government officials have no right, much less any duty, to release such documents, unless proper, LEGAL processes are followed.
It does not matter what those documents might say.
There are, still, unanswered questions about Obama.
Besides, NOTHING Congress does can grant “retro-active” citizenship.

A 5 person Senate committee of Obama, Clinton, etc. along with head of Homeland Security did define “natural born” citizen and the entire Senate signed off on SR 511 -
“Because he was born to American citizens, there is no doubt in my mind that Senator McCain is a natural born citizen,” said Leahy
“My assumption and my understanding is that if you are born of American parents, you are naturally a natural-born American citizen,” Chertoff replied.

Not by my way of thinking. The fact that both his parents were U.S. citizens takes care of his natural-born citizenship.
“Natural Born” means just that: What was the citizenship status at the time of birth?
And if Obama was born in Hawaii then that citzenship status would be natural-born citizen.
