This is beyond mere cowardice, and I expect a lot more 'Rat Congress Critters to pull the same damned thing.

My congressman is apparently only taking meetings by appointment.

This alone is reason to send him packing at the next election. These cowards can send their Liberal mobs to disrupt the Republican National Convention but can’t face a few angry taxpayers who are fed up with the move to socialism by the ilks of politicians like this coward.

Maybe it’s time to “meet” on his front lawn. With banners and posters.

"What we're seeing right now is close to Brown Shirt tactics," Baird, D-Vancouver, said in a phone interview. "I mean that very seriously."

NOPE, NO BROWN SHIRTS!

He can hide. I’m certain that come election time his constituents will remember when he denied them representation.

Apparently, this is part of Pelosi's strategy to try and get her minions through August, hide from the consituents if possible, but if necessary set up a wall between the Rat Congress critters and the constituents through these screened tele-meetings. Talking points included to deal with folks questioning this tactic.

Cowards, all of them!

Rep. Blumenauer from the Portland area (OR) is doing the same thing.

Congressman Blumenauer has been focused on fixing America’s broken health care system so that everyone has access to quality, affordable care. The time for reform is now, and we cannot afford to compromise or wait to act. Oregonians have a lot of questions about what Congress is considering, and Rep. Blumenauer wants the opportunity to talk with you about what reform will do for YOU and your family.

The TWO Telephone Town Halls will be next week:

- Tuesday, August 11th from 6-7pm
- Friday, August 14th from 1-2pm

If you want to join the Telephone Town Hall, sign up for Earl’s E-newsletter and BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER so we can call you. The call will be free.

COWARD!

“...opponents may be planning “an ambush” to disrupt his meetings...”

Correct me if I am wrong, isn't the Town Hall venue BASIC to American political interaction? What sort of demonizing did Conservatives direct at Leberals who stood outside of voting areas during the last national election? We didn't call them Nazis.... (actually, we just called them what they were, self-identified 'Black Panther' groups, and they faced NO repercussions)

Sounds like opponents of Obamacare should set up townhall meetings, invite their congressmen and the media, then make a point of showing that their representatives are afraid of the people they represent.

My congressman already did this. it allows them to lie about what our “concerns” were, either by picking the phone calls they know agree with them, or simply making up what they talked about.

My congressman insists that the number one issue that came up in his phone town hall was that we spend too much of our GDP on health care. I doubt the average person on his phone tree knows what a GDP is.

Oh,most definitely....
you can't expect anything but cowardice from them...
but it won't help them come Election Day-or,as I like to refer to it, Eviction Day.
