Goldman positions itself in the middle of a speculative bubble, selling investments they know are crap. Then they hoover up vast sums from the middle and lower floors of society with the aid of a crippled and corrupt state that allows it to rewrite the rules in exchange for the relative pennies the bank throws at political patronage. Finally, when it all goes bust, leaving millions of ordinary citizens broke and starving, they begin the entire process over again, riding in to rescue us all by lending us back our own money at interest, selling themselves as men above greed, just a bunch of really smart guys keeping the wheels greased. They've been pulling this same stunt over and over since the 1920s and now they're preparing to do it again, creating what may be the biggest and most audacious bubble yet.

From what I understand, Goldman is a big liberal contributor.
So talk to Obama if you want to bitch...
rolling stone is obscene. It’s always been obscene. It was obscene last night when this paranoid rant was first posted, and it’s still obscene today.
...RS hates capitalism...always has...despite the fact that Jann Wenner has gotten very wealthy in the capitalist system...personally I’ve done very well on my GS shares...you can too...why try to choose between slots or craps?...the answer is to own the casino.
I am not complaining because I have made a lot of money doing the opposite of what Goldman Sachs tells the public. I merely posted the article so that others can benefit from such knowledge.
Capitalism's loudest critics are often its greatest beneficiaries/exploiters.

No, the problem is not the name of the bank. The problem is that GS people are Ferengi in disguise.
The Taibbi-Goldman debate is not that easy to understand.
Taibbi has written some despicable things about Palin's family, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has some grudge against wealthy people in general.
Goldman donated $1M to Obama in the 2008 election. It lobbies for Crap and Trade, and is very seriously preparing to pick everyone else's pockets via "carbon credits."
Would I trust Taibbi's judgment in political issues? Hell no. He makes some very compelling points about Goldman and ex-Goldman people in government though, as does Glenn Beck.

Most seem not to be interested in any article that takes longer than a couple of minutes and two brain cells to read.
Ask yourself why people today act so much tamer than those of the 60s. It’s not just busy little bees in that bank. No matter what the truth, the titanic is slow to steer. Gas will go up even though demand is down, and fools on here will call you a commie ‘coz they’re just too dumb to get it.
