Morning fellow dittoheads! And not so humble ones...

Just got through on my third try. Went over to Townhall.com for some sanity. Boy these lefties are a bunch of punk azz pussies, aren’t they?

Every time a Democrat is in high office, they make the case for why they should never be near the levels of power ANYWHERE. Eight years of Democrat rule out of the last 28 was no accident. Things would have been even better if we’d had a more conservative House and Senate during the 20/28 good years...and, in some cases, a more conservative president...but what we had is what we had...and what we have now is a total fustercluck.

Much too large a temporal spread on these. Some are as late as 2007. The key to format is when the certificates were released, not when the person was born, and this involves a spread of more than 40 years.

I haven’t seen a followup, but I did see a comment yesterday that the Aussie BC that the Obammies were using to claim that Orly’s was a fake was clearly photoshopped. And that Orly’s was not.

Questions on health care for your townhall for today
There are plenty of copies of H.R. 3200 now for Congress to read. If you are going to a townhall with your Congressperson or Senator (which means you don’t live in MN-7, since Rep. Peterson has decided he doesn’t want to meet with you), you should read and bring specific questions about this bill. I intend to offer one a day.

Today’s comes from Secs. 141 and 142. In these sections we read:

There is hereby established, as an independent agency in the executive branch of the Government, a Health Choices Administration (in this division referred to as the ‘Administration’).

The Administration shall be headed by a Health Choices Commissioner (in this division referred to as the ‘Commissioner’) who shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate.

(1) QUALIFIED PLAN STANDARDS- The establishment of qualified health benefits plan standards under this title, including the enforcement of such standards in coordination with State insurance regulators and the Secretaries of Labor and the Treasury.CommentsClose CommentsPermalink

(2) HEALTH INSURANCE EXCHANGE- The establishment and operation of a Health Insurance Exchange under subtitle A of title II.CommentsClose CommentsPermalink

(3) INDIVIDUAL AFFORDABILITY CREDITS- The administration of individual affordability credits under subtitle C of title II, including determination of eligibility for such credits.CommentsClose CommentsPermalink

(4) ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS- Such additional functions as may be specified in this division.
Questions for your congressperson or senator:

Will this commissioner have the power to terminate one’s insurance plan and place one in a government plan if he or she decides the private plan does not qualify? Dr. Bernadette Healy says yes.

She also says that assignment is “random”. Indeed it is; see Sec. 205. Does your Congressperson support random assignment of people to plans that the Health Choices Commissioner says do qualify?

What will be the relationship between the Health Choices Commissioner and the IRS as regards the enforcement of the 2.5% tax on individuals who do not have coverage, as defined in Sec. 401?

Will the Commissioner hire his or her own staff to administer “random compliance audits”?

If I disagree with the determination of the Commissioner, to whom may I appeal? What are the checks and balances on the Commissioner’s power?

We heard recently of a massive Medicare fraud case that lead to many arrests. How would this new Health Choices Administration assure us that fraud would not explode in these government exchanges?

If you go to these townhalls, take these questions on index cards and distribute to your neighbors and friends. I’ll bring more as I get them.

Healthcare opposition shut down at Town hall meeting in Worcester MA

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2308562/posts

This is a letter written by a lady from the Massachusetts 912 project; she attended the meeting and was told no cameras or questions.

To all concerned patriots. Michelle and I went to the so called “town hall” meeting today in Worcester. Congressman McGovern was joined by Richard Neal. It was standing room only. It was such an orchestrated dog and pony show it was ridiculous. We were outraged, as were many other people. As soon as they began, they announced that questions that had been submitted on index cards would be addressed at some point during the “discussion” That brought an outcry from those of us who wanted to ask some real questions. There were a few, particulary one very outspoken woman, who sat down front, who came right out and stated that she was all for the healthcare plan. Every time one of the many who are opposed tried to speak, she basically led the chant of “shut up” and sit down. At one point people were told that they would be removed from the proceedings if they continued to shout out questions. Then they agreed to take questions if we wrote them on index cards and handed them to people who were posted there to collect them. There was no opportunity to get up and speak. It was the most blatant example of the Obama lovers deliberately trying to silence any who dared to disagree. We were also told that we could not bring our cameras into the “meeting” One man had to take his all the way back to his car. This was not a meeting, it was an informercial and propaganda tour. People better wake up and start doing something to stop this, or we are all doomed. Neither McGovern or Neal truly answered questions from us, other than the usual evasive liberal rhetoric.

Citizen Informants

In 1930’s Germany, the new socialist government of Adolf Hitler (NAZI National Socialist Workers’ Party) began indoctrinating children in the quasi-military organization, the Hitler Youth, to inform on their parents should they overhear discussions subversive to the policies of the Leader.

Health care reform draws
angry opposition in Green Bay

(WFRV) The health care debate made it’s way to Green Bay Monday night, but it was less a debate than a shouting match.

Democratic Congressman Steve Kagen faced heavy opposition during a public listening session at the Brown County Library. The town hall meeting was set up to give Kagen an opportunity to discuss health care reform and the current bill being debated in the House. Hundreds packed the library demanding answers, with few giving Kagen much of a chance to speak. Outbursts and chants against a government-sponsored system overwhelmed much of the discussion.

At one point, Congressman Kagen tried to explain his belief that the current health care bill, while not perfect, is a good start. The crowd disagreed - loudly shouting him down.

Green Bay police were eventually called in to keep the peace and control the crowd.

*Congressman Kagen will hold another public session Tuesday morning at 10:00 at the Thompson Community Center in Appleton.

Interesting...

Antigua’s highest peak
renamed ‘Mount Obama’

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Antigua’s highest mountain officially became “Mount Obama” on Tuesday as the small Caribbean nation celebrated the American president on his birthday and saluted him as a symbol of black achievement. (Snip) Still, there was some criticism on talk radio and in the local newspapers. Lester Bird, leader of the opposition Antigua Labor Party, called the change “silly” and said they might as well name it for Michael Jackson.

Was this pushed by the Annenberg Challenge under dear leader?

Nothing says back to school like sex song /Kass/Chi Trib

The last thing I’d ever want to talk about with Mayor Richard Daley is the hit song “Birthday Sex.”

You just don’t discuss songs of sex with the absolute boss of Chicago. You might talk about the White Sox and politics, but you never, ever refer to melodies of human reproduction with Rich Daley.

“Birthday Sex” is apparently the new hot song by popular Chicago singer Jeremih, a graduate of the Chicago Public Schools who has been chosen as the mayor’s point man to help lure sex-crazed teenagers (they’re not thinking about the Louisiana Purchase every two minutes) back to school next month.

More (Daley’s statement about him is a kicker)
