Some weekend reading... (i’m sure you know who House was)

Philip Dru Administrator : a Story of Tomorrow 1920 - 1935 by House

http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/world/readfile?fk_files=8600&pageno=2

Nice of him to write it as fiction.
This has been in the works for a long time.

Just in case:

Your Dress Code for Town Hall Protests

Go as your favorite Founding Father :)

Or, if you're feeling particularly vexed, as one of the Sons of Liberty....

re: clip Called out the mobs.

Kinda like those ACORN buses to AIG and citizens homes?

How could the insurance companies call us out while they’re meeting with Obama on this sacrilege?

While FR was down, someone on the yahoo group back-up site posted that he/she got a mysterious e-mail (in their personal account) from a “Concerned Liberal” saying that he reported the FR poster to the FBI, CIA, etc., and that FR was a bunch of lunatics, etc.

If you have a personal account tied to your FR name, anyone can get to it. I had mine on there and some reject statist, secularist, libtard emailed me on my personal account to attack some of the stuff that I posted on FR. I immediately removed my personal email. It is located in your FR profile.

Citizen Informants

In 1930’s Germany, the new socialist government of Adolf Hitler (NAZI National Socialist Workers’ Party) began indoctrinating children in the quasi-military organization, the Hitler Youth, to inform on their parents should they overhear discussions subversive to the policies of the Leader.

Speaking of the Founders, a quote...

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!

Samuel Adams

Health care reform draws
angry opposition in Green Bay

(WFRV) The health care debate made it’s way to Green Bay Monday night, but it was less a debate than a shouting match.

Democratic Congressman Steve Kagen faced heavy opposition during a public listening session at the Brown County Library. The town hall meeting was set up to give Kagen an opportunity to discuss health care reform and the current bill being debated in the House. Hundreds packed the library demanding answers, with few giving Kagen much of a chance to speak. Outbursts and chants against a government-sponsored system overwhelmed much of the discussion.

At one point, Congressman Kagen tried to explain his belief that the current health care bill, while not perfect, is a good start. The crowd disagreed - loudly shouting him down.

Green Bay police were eventually called in to keep the peace and control the crowd.

*Congressman Kagen will hold another public session Tuesday morning at 10:00 at the Thompson Community Center in Appleton.

Interesting...

Antigua’s highest peak
renamed ‘Mount Obama’

ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Antigua’s highest mountain officially became “Mount Obama” on Tuesday as the small Caribbean nation celebrated the American president on his birthday and saluted him as a symbol of black achievement. (Snip) Still, there was some criticism on talk radio and in the local newspapers. Lester Bird, leader of the opposition Antigua Labor Party, called the change “silly” and said they might as well name it for Michael Jackson.

From yesterday;

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_080409/content/01125109.guest.html

LAFFER: And what you see here are these types of mistakes are classic professorial mistakes, lawyer mistakes. They think that if you change a law, Rush, all of a sudden things are working in that direction. It’s not true.

And they have no idea of the real world. They’ve never made a bad trade. They’ve never suffered the humility of their own ideas being wrong.

Because in their classroom their ideas are always right, and that’s the trouble with this administration, that they really don’t have a clue.

Nyeah, nyeah.....they can’t catch me!!!

And even if they can and do, it won’t be pretty. Remember, I’m old, I’m angry and I’m almost at the point where I don’t give a damn anymore.

Was this pushed by the Annenberg Challenge under dear leader?

Nothing says back to school like sex song /Kass/Chi Trib

The last thing I’d ever want to talk about with Mayor Richard Daley is the hit song “Birthday Sex.”

You just don’t discuss songs of sex with the absolute boss of Chicago. You might talk about the White Sox and politics, but you never, ever refer to melodies of human reproduction with Rich Daley.

“Birthday Sex” is apparently the new hot song by popular Chicago singer Jeremih, a graduate of the Chicago Public Schools who has been chosen as the mayor’s point man to help lure sex-crazed teenagers (they’re not thinking about the Louisiana Purchase every two minutes) back to school next month.

More (Daley’s statement about him is a kicker)
