(Fresno, California - 8/4/09) Jim Thompson, the unemployed route driver from Fresno who was recently accused of owning a "blog" and as a result of the publicity decided to run for President, has unexpectedly dropped his bid, but has decided to weigh in on the current healthcare debate and the town hall meetings currently taking place.

From the front of his trailer, only his dogs Bubba and Bough at his side, he issued this spurious statement to no one in particular:

"As you mighta hear'd, I ain't runnin for no President no more. They wanna know all kindsa stuff about you such as everything. I ain't had no formal education, so I figger with nothin to report on, I'm as equally qualified as the guy in Washington right now who won't let no one see nothin on him neither. But one thing I do know, I know where I was borned and can prove it which gives me a leg up. I ain't got no money and can barely afford a six-pack of Bimblemans at $.89 a six-pack (When you want a beer real bad, we got a real bad beer) is their motto, so advertising weren't no option."

"Now, I been watchin this healthcare stuff on the TV down to Charlies General Store and the democrat reaction and one thing I can tell you is them people in Washington D.C. ought to have their heads examined. Corrdin to what I done learned, them people work for us, not the other way around. Them people act as though we's a bunch of idiots. My kinfolk moved to this area neigh on 200 years ago and the govmint ain't done a damn thing for them and they didn't want it if it was offered. They was proud folk who took care of their own, who looked out for each other when times was tough, who wanted nothin more than to be left alone to work, raise a God fearin, bible readin, gun-totin, huntin ready family who could take care of themselves."

"I ain't got much, but them values you can't beat. What is more American than buildin your own dream? Now granted, lookin around at my property ain't gonna lead you to believe I'm good off cause I ain't, but I'm happy and I'm satisfied with my life. I don't owe nobody nothin, I ain't got much stuff but like my kinfolk before, I make do with what I have."

"Them people on TV who are protestin are the same way. All they want is to take care of theyselves without someone from the govmint lookin over their shoulder tellin them what's good for them and what ain't when the govmint don't know them from Adam and I don't think they care. All them people in Washington ain't linnin up to get into this program and that outta tell everyone somethin but I guess common sense done left this world a while back, say about January."

"Now I'm gonna fade off into obscurity agin and won't be sayin nothin no more. But before I leave take a look around. That flag I fly off my porch ain't just the Stars and Stripes, it's a symbol of liberty, independence, freedom and bein self-sufficient. It's gonna fly till the day I die cause it's my way of life."

Thus ends the saga of Jim Thompson, infamous route driver from Fresno.

No more developments..

That good. I just picked up a blank COLB and I was going to make one for him.

That will save me some time and I concentrate on other things.

I’d nominate him for Congress, but he seems a bit overqualified.
