Here is what I’ve been saying, “I’m a proud Republican. I’m even MORE proud to be a CONSERVATIVE. It’s time for this district to have a representative that shares our values, and actually VOTES THEM, as well.”

My thoughts exactly. We’ve got a long way to go.

Assuming we have another election. We will have to wait an see what national “emergency” conveniently raises its head as we approach 2010 mid-terms.

I agree a year is a lifetime. In Sept early October McCain was up by 5-7 pts if I remember correctly. Look where that got us, Homie the Clown

The Average Joe is FAR more riled now than in 1994. Killing off parents, forcing them and kids into a government health program. failing to produce evidence of citizenship. Destroying the American auto industry, making rich bankers even richer, selling out to America's global enemies, bowing to the King of Saud and taking sides against Shiia... all in the fist five months. If the GOP can't pull this out in 2010...

Yes, but then he decided to commit political suicide by "suspending" his campaign to go to Washington to pass a trillion dollar boondoggle... That boy just ain't too smart...

Riled is a mild word, it is more like “Explosive”.

Let us hope that should the GOP be given the opportunity to serve the people once again, that they NOT return to their big-spending ways.

Its time to start pivoting and frame the debate against the Washington Democrats. In 1994 Newt and the GOP did a brilliant running against the Democrats in Washington.

If I remember correctly, the argument went like this...

Regular people all around the country are sick and tired of the overspending and corruption of the Washington Democrats. Regular Democrats, normal, and mostly moderate democrats, folks in cities and counties everywhere, they can’t believe what their leaders are doing in Washington... the democrats in Washington aren’t even listening to their own state parties.

The Washington Democrats aren’t even listening to the Democratic Governors... etc. etc.

And the ace in the hole is Sarah Palin. The Dems know it and the GOP know it. It’s not going to be a question of GOP gains but how many and can the GOP take back a house of Congress.

I'd like very much to believe that 2010 will be a repeat of 1994, especially after our puppet of a President and his stooges in Congress enact a massive tax hike on the middle class (a la Clinton in 1993). So the circumstances certainly do seem favorable.

Except for one little thing:

The Rahms who pull the puppet strings in the Whitehouse, and who control our media, economy, culture, etc. have it as item #1 on their to-do list to make absolutely sure that 2010 is NOT another 1994.

They aren't stupid, and they won't get caught by surprise like the Rats did in '94.

There's not going to be another House Post Office or House Bank scandal to help out - and if anything like it comes along the media will be quite content to allow millions of moron voters to think (as they do) that the Republicans control Congress and are the ones to blame for everything.

Can 2010 be another 1994? Fat chance: more like another 1936. Buckwheat is FDR and George W. Bush is Herbert Hoover. Then the Republicans will nominate some totally uninspiring, mush-headed 'moderate' along the lines of Bob Dole, John McCain, Wendell Willkie, Tom Dewey... and America goes right down the toilet if it hasn't already arrived there by 2012.

I strongly believe Rush is right. Republicans should not be obnoxious but should “speak truth to power.” Clever how the Dems always say that but it is verboten for us. I honestly feel Pelosi is viewed as a laughing stock and Reid as a mildly (moderately) demented old man. Obama’s armour has been pierced and they will fight back ferociously. Republicans can win back congress next year.

This is the biggest lead I've ever seen for Repubs in a generic ballot

I can't remember one this big, either. IIRC, the polls didn't start breaking open for us in 1994 until right before the election.

It looks bad for the Dims. This is the biggest lead I've ever seen for Repubs in a generic ballot. “

Yup.
2010 is going to make 1994 look like kindergarten.
The Communist, Pelosi, Reid and their pals in congress, are going to get blown to kingdom come.

"Blowout GOP Victory in Delaware Special Election
by: Bill Dupray posted: 2009-08-04 16:19:00

The Dems held the seat for 40 years. And now it is gone. Great news.

Nevertheless Joe Booth won, taking a seat that was held by the Democratic Party for roughly 40 years in a state where the Democrats rule the House, Senate, and the Governor's office.

What is most remarkable about the win was the margin. Joe garnered over 60% of the vote in a heavy Democrat area and trounced Adams Mervine by 30 points."

This administration reminds me of when Carter also had the majority in both houses and it was a disaster- THEY could not get anything done (LOL). As we know, Carter was a one termer!
