I’m afraid the Photoshop Elements idea has been discounted. It’s either in this thread or one of the other BC threads. In a nutshell, the “trick” used to separate out the supposed Photoshop layers is doing no such thing. The Photoshop Element routine is trying to separate out what is supposed to be multiple documents that were scanned all at once, like you would do if you were scanning 6 small photos in one shot. So PE looks for what it thinks are the divisions and it slices up the document. That’s all it is. It’s not layers. JPEGs do not preserve layers.
