By now you have probably seen the wave of Sarah Palin rumors in the dinosaur media and the liberal blogs focus on the story that Sarah Palin and husband Todd are headed for divorce because of extramarital affairs by both. As you may imagine, the rumor was like a dream come true for many lefty bloggers.
Look at the name in the paper syndrome that followed Palin resigning her office and the stir that caused on the left. Not only did she reinforce her name recognition with that move with publicity you couldnt buy from the dinosaur media at any price, but the press attacks on her actually brought out a lot of sympathy from grassroots types who dont like and dont trust the dinosaur media anyway.
I am beginning to think Palin played the press for fools on that one. All an accident? Perhaps, but I doubt it. Think of it in the following way. What could she have possibly done by plan or accident to get more press, more name recognition, and more favorable polling reactions from voters than resign as governor? That degree of success smacks to me of planning.
Her position thus reinforced with grassroots Republicans, the left took up the call on this divorce rumor, apparently wanting desperately to take a little of her momentum away...

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
People have responded to the Palins like they did to the Bush family, crazed!!! Liberals are nuts. No woman in her right mind would divorce a hunk like Todd (LOL).
Media Schadenfreude and Media Shenanigans PING
So surely the Dirthers will do a mea culpa, right? right?
They fell for a rumor scam designed to smear the character of a political opponent.
I will throw that right back at ya, Mary. No man in his right mind would divorce a beautiful, intelligent gutsy woman like Sarah!
A guy here at work, thinks that the story was planted by a right-wing extremist, trying to make the libs look stupid.
Did you tell him that we didn't need to plant stories to make liberals look stupid?
Not really, the left waited until Bush was in office, with Palin, they started 10 seconds after they regained control over their jaw muscles after their jaws dropped for McCain choosing someone they had not heard of.

No, I just pointed out the fact that it’s sometimes very difficult to determine who really puts stuff out on the internet, and their intentions.
Suggestions for newspapers: (those that want readers input...)
Sometimes run pictures that tell a story thats not your story...
Make cartoons larger.
Piling on someone - like Sarah Palin - because you "don't like her" is unseemly. Post a sigh in the newsroom that says, "Grown ups work here". Look at it daily.
Keep the print readable - newspaper readers are older - if the papers good, the young will grow into it... if its not youll never get them anyhow.
Explore new technology - Bill Gates can design a down-loadable flat sheet - dont fight technology - bend it to your needs.
A newspaper is not a stage for art-teests to prance upon - its a medium to bring USEFUL information to readers.
Readers interaction happens at the circulation level - monitor that department with your life...
Vanity circulation doesnt help the people who are buying ads and supporting the paper. Dont give into it. You offer value and must honestly give value.
Reporters and editors should be fired if they make up quotes, accept gifts ( that included accepting coffee - make it water).
Mix in the best national columnists - again - the papers not a stage for local talent - its a vehicle for disbursing quality useful information.____________________________ NEW:
Real diversity: Add writers and editors who understand math and science - they have a different and important perspective - then hire a good rewrite man to clean up the writing.
Ever read instructions written by engineers - almost as bad as "science news" written by "writers"...
Add conservatives for diversity of thought and for the 50% of your readers who are conservative.
Man bites dog might be fun to write - but its freak show stuff. A little goes a long way. When people say they want good news what they mean is news that adds illuminates and explains their community and world.
Some of us think breakfast is coffee and a newspaper ...
Be sure to watch the video “ethicsgate.” It shows the close, working relationship between the anti-Palin bloggers, the “ethics” complaint filers, and the AK dem party. The anti-Palin blogger Jean Devon (Mudflats) has been trying to knock this off the net for days, but it’s back on YouTube, and several blogs have already posted it. I hear it has gotten Linda Biegel (Celtic Diva) so rattled that she’s now trying to cover her fat a$$, before the $hit hits the fan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnyrP8qQlpU
If so, the tactic was successful.
OK, will do, but that will probably just reinforce his opinion.
I agree. That’s why I told him it really doesn’t matter because people will believe what they want when there is no way of proving something.
Exactly. But, I am a woman and she doesn’t affect me in the same way, LOL. Todd’s a real hunk. And she IS a real beauty. Nice couple.
