Sarah Palin is pursuing the idea of a talk radio show, reports say, but thats not going to happen on Clear Channel, the countrys largest radio broadcaster.
Inside Radio reported earlier this week that Palins representatives were approaching radio broadcasters to see if the ex-Alaska governor could host a nationally-syndicated show.
Her lawyer Robert Barnett told the publication, Many individuals and entities have expressed strong interest in Governor Palin. To date, she has not spoken with any of them, negotiated with any of them or made deals with any of them.
But after the Inside Radio report, Paige Albiniak wrote on Broadcastingcable.com, My own sources say much what they said when asked about a TV show for Palin: Dont think so.
While it is natural to assume Palin would be a better fit for conservative radio than the less partisan world of syndicated broadcast TV, my sources say Clear Channel has already passed on her, Albiniak says.
She says the deal breaker for Palin is that radio execs doubt she would be able to maintain listener interest for three hours daily.
While some of her recent remarks may indicate a talent for improvisation, anyone whos listened to Rush Limbaugh
knows its the rare personality who can blab extemporaneously for 15 hours a week, Albiniak writes.

I agree with that. It’s what people are clamoring for IMO. She draws big when she makes appearances. And I might add, she isn’t getting yelled at, something that our dear Washington, D.C. reps can’t claim any longer.
Yeah, she should emulate the speaking style of Carolyn Kennedy. < /S >
I would rather not see Sarah Palin on the Fox News Channel. That’s called preaching to the choir. If she can’t get a mainstream gig, I say she won’t be an effective candidate anyway.
“Hosting a radio or TV show simply does not project as presidential”
Ronald Reagan host a TV show called Death Valley Days and also General Electric Theatre. GE was a conservative company then, not ultra-liberal.
Do you think Ronald Reagan wasn’t Presidential??? If so, please explain.
I don’t buy this. I don’t think she wants to be a “media personality”.
What you will see is Palin touring the country and making addresses and holding fundraisers for the conservative cause. Then in 2010 she will campign for Republicans in tight congressional and Senate races.
If she does plan to run in 2012 I do think it would be a good idea for her to do what Reagan did from 1977-1979 which is make occasional nationally broadcasted raido addresses attacking the current administrations policies and offer conservative soultions.
If Sarah joins the media, I'd rather see her do short, weekly commentary where she can discuss a topic and promote her view.
If she was on full-time, she would be overexposed ala the obozo is now.
At this point, I view Sarah Palin as being Vice Presidential material, not Presidential. Maybe that will change, but I don’t think so.
The others are RINOs...and America does NOT need another RINO to run considering the communist in the WH and the damage he is doing to America.
Perhaps as a newbie you're from KOS or DU and don't quite grasp that concept.
If you read the article carefully and the quotes as well, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that Clear Channel in a most convoluted way used Sarah’s name for attention...Even though is highly unlikely that she nor anyone even connected with her had any contact with them.

I agree.
I just post ‘em; don’t write ‘em. BIG SMILE
Agree totally. As much as I love her, and her politics, I do not love her voice. In fact I think that's something that really needs to be worked on if she runs in '12. She has a bit of a harshness and a twang when she speaks IMO.
Oh I am so sorry. I meant to quote part of the article and neglected the paste part of “copy and paste”. My bad.
If Sarah does radio, she should do a weekly address to the nation, right after the President’s, the Democrats, and the Republicans.
That would be a hoot. A former Governor, former VP candidate doing a national weekly address to rebut the others’.
How about Sarah Palin co-hosting on FOX with Glenn Beck?
The lefties would be tearing their hair out!
Of course, Romney has bought out the GOP too, so you Palin fans should know what you have to look forward to...
Did not realize the Romney connection to Clear Channel until this morning. Explains this piece coming out despite no evidence that Palin has sought them out for a gig.
Memo to Rush: Watch your back.
Sorry, previous post was in reply to you.
Thanks.
