Kay Bareley Republican has stepped in it already. Her site consultatnts had larded up the site code with phrases such as "Rick Perry gay" and such -- to attract more Google hits they say.

These aren’t exactly “hidden phrases” like when you’d think of subliminal messages. They where probably meta data. No big deal.

“I can’t wait to see her out of politics for good.”

That and then off the TV for good as well. She rivals Sharpton and Jackson in her zeal for the TV limelight by people who do virtually nothing but talk and take profit from it all.

The use of hidden search phrases is an absolutely traditional way of generating web site hits, the idea it is in some way morally wrong is just preposterous.

Boy there is a lot of hate out there for KBH, I must have missed her major crime.

I’ve got to admit, your logic comes closer to my own than most of the other posters on the thread. This wasn’t a subliminal message. It was merely a search engine friendly way to make sure her site got more hits.

The idea that she sat down and participated in some evil plot just doesn’t sound plausible to me. I don’t always agree with her, but good grief, this criticism is a bit over the top.

As for Google taking the high road? Please...

No kidding! Maybe some “mass hysteria” thing.

Hidden search phrases? So what. Does all think KBH is the only one???

I am not necessarily going to vote for KBH or Rick Perry, they will need to earn my support and vote for GOV.

Yes, but the -choice- of phrases is what caused the stink.

Ping.

There are two threads, one of which may be removed, so I'm pinging both.

Freepmail me or ping me from the original thread to get on/off the 2010 Texas Governor's Race ping list.

Kay Bailey looks wonderful. And do you think Perry should retire to take care of his children? Ever? Do you think Republican men should retire to take care of their children? Or just the women? And I would bet Kay Bailey is a wonderful mother.
