While the head of the White House Military Office, Louis Caldera, was essentially sacked in May, the e-mail exchanges make clear that the ill-fated April 27 mission was really the brainchild of the lead pilot of Air Force One, Col. Scott Turner.

President-elect Obama and Col. Scott Turner - January 4, 2009
The two geniuses behind the photo-op.
I'm given to understand that Air Force One Pilots have advanced past the stage of 5th grade reasoning.
HOOOOOOOOO boy.
SO why would he want to serve this abomination up to Obama? I mean couldn’t he tell the One that this weather really wasn’t conducive to a good view of the city without buzzing the dickens out of it and he strongly suggested rescheduling?
So this was for the photos to hand out to passengers in their package aboard AF One? What crap.
When I worked for the AF, my boss was an Advance Agent for Nixon and traveled on AF One to China and Russa with Nixon — pinned on his eagles in Russia. I have one of the packages they gave out them and it was a picture of AF One signed by the President. Also have one of the pens with the Nixon signature on the pen and some other stuff.
ZERO comes along and they want pictures flying over DC and NYC as a mission not when they were flying in on business. What a bunch of crap. You would have to be a jerk to want to fly ZERO around IMHO!
