Today, I spoke briefly with a liberal member of California’s education establishment (forgive the obvious tautology), who told me that his Berkeley home had recently been broken into while he was in Washington, D.C. It’s been a wake-up call, he said. We were too lax. We’ll be putting in a security-alarm system. And then came the clincher: “This is a very diverse neighborhood.”
Now what would possibly be the relevance of that euphemism to the likelihood of getting burgled, I wonder?
Unlike Berkeley intelligentsia, the police actually don’t practice such blatant racial profiling — overwhelmingly, they use observed behavioral and locational cues and witness IDs to decide whom to stop.
President Obama seems to think that, after having aped Henry Louis Gates Jr.’s inflation of his trivial encounter with a police officer into a national symbol of ubiquitous racially biased policing, he can put his reckless involvement in the episode behind him by deflating it back into an incident of significance (if any) only to its two participants. His post–beer summit statement was silent on the only question of importance to come out of Cambridge-Gate: Do the police in “fact” stop blacks and Hispanics for “no cause,” as Obama charged in his July 22 press conference? Beer summit behind him, Obama has let that false allegation stand unchallenged in the record; even Gates showed more graciousness towards the police by acknowledging the dangers they face every day.

and, as far as I'm concerned, the “diverse” neighborhoods are the most dangerous. When people live in close proximity and have different, radical beliefs, and cultures, then how can they understand each other? They have their own friends who do understand them and don't need neighbors who don't.
No matter how much the socialists would like to say it's true, we are ALL DIFFERENT... we ALL have different thoughts and ideals. WE WILL NOT be homogenized... and that is what SOCIALISM/COMMUNICISM/FASCISIM is all about

To put it bluntly, they understand each other very well.
They just don't care - because they aren't like them and the world and animal nature is not a kumbuya concept where the lions lay down with the sheep and eat grass type of world.
That doesn't exist and they know it; they have an agenda to advance and that agenda does not include the well being of people like you.
Neighborhoods do not matter. It matters how mobile the bad guys are. If you live near a govt paid for mass transit system, you had better arm up. The bad guys know how to use the free systems to get in and get out. I chose to live in an area that if real difficult to get in and for those criminals who might get back here, will never find their way out.

Tribalism" is a natural human tendency. Either the liberals just don't understand that, or they understand that very well, and use the inevitable increase in crime as an excuse to implement ever more government control, while stoking the smoldering fires with government programs which favor one minority over others.

In Boston, he could live in Roxbury, on Malcolm X Blvd, if he wanted. Sounds oh, so vibrant and urban. 63% black, 24% Latino and only 3% of dem ‘ol blue-eyed devils. Paradise on Earth.
