I always take camera phone shots when I plan a million dollar WH photo-op. Doesn’t everyone?
These pics look like something a kid would take. Not very many considering the costs involved and most are over Jersey?
There is much more going on here than meets the eye.

The 146 pic PDF file only shows AF1 with the single fighter as in the top post or AF1 solo.
The underside paint job of AF-1 is interesting. Made to break up the silhouette from below?
The F-16 shown above peeled off before the fly by stunt happened in NYC. The red-tailed f-16 was the one who took the camera phone snapshots and followed AF1 around NYC seen in the videos. Definitely not a sanctioned Air Force-1 photo-op.
In other words, these photos may be genuine, but may have been selected, among others, so as not to show the red-tailed fighter that apparently flew up the Hudson.

We borrowed the idea from the Canucks.
They paint cockpits on the bottoms of their fighters...
The bottom of the wings on AF-1 are painted a non reflective dark grey. That gives the effect, from the ground, of a large, er, 'symbol' coming in for a landing....
Hoorah!

That’s the same thing I’m thinking. If this was just a photo op, why the sidewinders?
