The article never said they demanded a face to face meeting. They took over a conference room for over 6 hours. You'd think a reasonable person would have just made a call to their own conference room and spoke to the group.
Of course, in all likelihood, this group knew there would be no call, no meeting, nothing...

The group arrived at Feinstein's office around noon and refused to leave her conference room until their arrest more than six hours later.
This was a protest for whatever reason.
I personally would like to see several hundred thousand drive into D.C. and just stop their vehicles, bringing that entire city to a grinding halt.
