PRINCETON, NJ -- Seniors are the least likely of all age groups in the U.S. to say that healthcare reform will benefit their personal healthcare situation. By a margin of three to one, 36% to 12%, adults 65 and older are more likely to believe healthcare reform will reduce rather than expand their access to healthcare. And by 39% to 20%, they are more likely to say their own medical care will worsen rather than improve.
Despite the greater concern about healthcare reform among seniors, at the moment they are not significantly more critical of the job Obama is doing than are middle-aged adults -- although they were earlier this year. Roughly half of those 30 to 49 and 50 to 64 years approve of Obama's overall job performance. Also, since June, Obama's approval rating has dropped by five percentage points among seniors, but by nine points among adults 30 to 40 years and 50 to 64 years, and by 13 points among adults 18 to 29 years.

That’s because if I’m a turkey, I start to worry about thinks around November 20th.
:)
*things*
LOL
Now we are trusting the economy of our country, our banking system, our auto industry and possibly our health plans to the same nit-wits who couldn't make money running a whore house and selling whiskey!"
These people would complain if the hangman used an old rope.
I am a senior and I’m worried.
Because according to Obama I do not belong in his world of dreams because at my age I am a hindrance to others, a burden, an obstacle of non productivity.
HA
HAH
HAH!
But I do have a nasty firearm collection and I still know how to use them.
BTW, anyone happen to notice the total lack of news about firearms lately?
Damn right they’re most skeptical. They have the most to lose... their lives!
” Your average AARP member is getting screwed by their own representative organization.”
I considered joining after turning 50, but never did. Now I know I never will.
This is the largest, healthiest, wealthiest, most well-educated group of persons over age 65 this world has ever seen at any point in history and I for one will be shocked if this group lets AARP and the Dems get away with “health” reform!
Then why is the AARP yucking it up with the antichrist in the Rose Garden?
I have decided that I will not join AARP when I get old enough. I have AAA now and that is all the hotel discount I need. What else is it good for, anyway?
Sung to the tune of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer
Grandma got run over by Obama
Walking to the doctor’s without leave
You can say there’s no such thing as rationing
But as for me and Grandpa we believe
She’d been seeing Doc quite often
For her heart and lumbago
But one day she got a letter
Saying “sacrifice yourself; it’s time to go”
They found her DOA that mornin’
At the scene of the attack
“Rejected” stamped upon her forehead
And an incriminatin’ O upon her back
Grandma got run over by Obama
Walking to the doctor’s without leave
You can say there’s no such thing as rationing
But as for me and Grandpa we believe
Now we’re all so proud of Grandpa
They don’t have him on the run
See him in there watchin’ NASCAR
And clinging bitterly to God and guns
It’s just not the same without Grandma
She was too young to be whacked
Only 70 on her next birthday
But too old according to The One’s contract
Grandma got run over by Obama
Walking to the doctor’s without leave
You can say there’s no such thing as rationing
But as for me and Grandpa we believe
Now the funeral is over
And the family’s steeped in gloom
And now ACORN’s at the front door
Taking stock of Grandpa’s empty extra room
I’ve warned all my friends and neighbors
Better watch out for your health
We should never have elected
A man whose main concern is spreading wealth
Grandma got run over by Obama
Walking to the doctor’s without leave
You can say there’s no such thing as rationing
But as for me and Grandpa we believe!
AARP is hoping for the government contracts to administer pharmaceutical and insurance benefits. It already does a good deal of gov’t contract business in those areas for the Medicare program—so you’re right, what does it care what its “membership” thinks? The AARP membership program will be almost meaningless in comparison to the big bucks nationalized health care will flow to AARP! It’s the same with the AMA—it cares more about selling the CPT codebooks than about its doctor “members.”

They voted for obama, so they initially voted for this garbage. Most of my parents friends voted for him, talk about shortening your life.
Well then the Dems should be out on notice that the senior voting block who normally supports them on issues of social security will not be doing that anymore.
Classic!!!!
Whenever I get anything from them I just write ‘will not except’ and put it back in the mailbox.
By the way, it is time for us to tell the ‘elected’ official ‘shut up’, all of them.
