Hugh Hewitt syndicated radio broadcast of 7/27/09
The “birther” crap is such a distraction. Meanwhile, the Congress is a few weeks away from passing the Pedophile Protection Act into law, hidden in the must-pass defense authorization bill, and almost nothing is being said about it on radio or Fox. I know Joe Farah rakes in the cash over the birther stuff, but isn’t this issue more important?
I’ve said all along that even if we find the man illegible to have run for president, he is president, and doubtful that he will be impeached etc.
There are other details of his life that need to come out.
Maybe he can remain as president...I hope he does. But these issues in his closet will serve to undo him as a president with a purely socialist agenda.
The man knows nothing about what is in the health bill, yet wants it passed so it makes him look good.
I’m praying that ratings will hit -15 before Congress reconvenes.
Who is Joe Farah? The Iranian blogger?
Hugh was also a huge supporter of Arnold against Tom McClintock—he is a nutter!!!
Romneybott - nuff said.
It’s all OK. Birthers are smart, they can multitask. The more pressure is put on, the more mistakes Barry’s crew is making and who knows, maybe more facts flop out. You can bitch about whatever you want to bitch about, and in most cases we’ll all agree, but please do not mute what others want to bitch about. Instead of the term “birthers”, I prefer ‘Barry’s Biography Brigade’ to attempt to uncover Barry’s obscured (and now classified) past. Besides, it is fun! Otherwise, I am ‘with you’. FReep on!
Hugh “politics over priciples” Hewitt should never be confused with a conservative, even when he’s right.
Hugh Hewitt is a jerk. Does he think he’s going to suddenly gain a left-wing audience for doing this? People will still tune in for Mark Steyn, but that’s about his only useful contribution.
And if he dumps Steyn, he will have no listeners at all. And Steyn will have no trouble getting onto another show if he chooses to do so.
Your comment assumes we can only do one thing at a time. It is a false assumption.
As a former Hugh Hewitt fan I would like to offer some advice to good old lawyer Hugh. You may be right about the issue being moot vis a vis the 2008 election. But put your lawyer hat on and tell me about an ineligible Obama running for re-election in 2012. Still moot? I think not. This is a big deal and the turncoat Republicans like Hewitt and Medved (I’ll excuse Coulter for the moment and NRO got off the hook with today’s brilliant article) are rapidly losing any credibility they had left with their anti-birther rants. They have not looked at the facts and they have totally misjudged the motivations of the great majority of those who want the Birth Certificate released.
Yes, he runs WorldNetDaily.
Hugh Hewitt: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Hewitt’s machine-gun interview style drives me nuts. Dozens of times, I’ve heard him ask a question, and just before the interviewee is about to spit out the answer, Hewitt asks the question again, or interrupts to finish the sentence—but he guessed wrong. Then the interviewee starts to answer the question again. Then Hewitt interrupts, either guessing at the answer, or asking the question again. Then the interviewee starts to answer the question again, and just before getting to the punch line...aaaauuuuughghghghgh!!!
The former RINO conservatives, anti-birthers and Obama shills include Hugh Hewitt, Ingraham, Coulter, O’Reilly, Medved, Boortz, National Review.
Hugh is no longer relevant. Hasn’t been for awhile.
Agreed. These idiots say “we can’t be distracted” etc etc. This is the same Clinton and Democrat “there are others things more important.” “We can’t be distracted.” It is still a free country at least for a few more months and we can do what we want to do. If they don’t like it then get screwed. I am not falling for their Alinsky tactics.
The Constitution is more important. Even if Obama never suffers a whit over the BC fracas (and I believe that will be the case), we on the right are drawing a line in the sand. We will defend the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, and we will not allow it to be abused. If we don’t do that, we don’t deserve to live under the great document. We draw the line here. No further.
Give it a rest. Obama is sinking his own presidency, it’s not necessary to let him take conservatives down with him.
I’m out of here.
