No, they don’t. Unless it’s the intention to boycott supermarkets and petrol stations and everywhere else that allows homosexualists to buy stuff.

Did you read the part where they are actively contributing thousands of dollars to "gay pride" events?

That's not just having open doors to gay people to buy their products, but openly promoting the lifestyle.

Yup. I always try to read the entire article before responding.

I don’t think so. More likely it is their Public Relations people chipping in some money when asked by the prance-fest organizers. That’s what Public Relations people do: they “relate” to the company’s “public” as a part of the company’s marketing strategies.

Like it or not, homosexualists do comprise a large, legitimate market, and they do purchase power tools and building supplies just like ordinary people do.

If a group of homosexualists ask Home Depot for money so that they can have an event, Home Depot would be really silly not to give them some money. That is why Public Relations has a budget: a portion of the profits specifically designed to be given away to community events. And by supporting the event, they hope to be seen as good corporate citizens, have their logo shown, and ideally lure in some new customers from the homosexual community.

It’s a business decision, and a wise one.

The alternative would be a noisy and unnecessary boycott of their stores by their homosexual customers for discrimination. And possibly losing customers to such as Lowes, who need to nothing but keep their mouths shut and sell them power tools.

I doubt anyone at Home Depot has made an ideological decision that says “Home Depot will now advance the homosexual agenda”. It won’t be that at all: instead they will have taken the view that the prance-fest is a legitimate community event that deserves some support — just like Little League Baseball.

Yes, it is distasteful that this should be the case. However, homosexuality is no longer against the law. They have a right to hold events like their prance-fest, and Home Depot is exercising good business judgment in treating them like they would every other community organization.
