The problem, which I’m sure he knows, is that if he comes up with a birth certificate, it better match all other information about him. College records, passports, Selective Service, etc. One mistake and he’s done. He would have to cover up his whole life.

Well, upon the release of the perfectly forged long-form birth certificate, the force would be taken out of the “birther” movement. Therefore, interest in the other records would be relegated to a fringe audience. Or at least, this is how I imagine he outlines his strategy.
