They all travel in the same circles and all vacation together in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard.
Oak Bluffs has been a vacation place for black society for decades.
Barry used to vacation there.
He would usually stay with Charles Ogletree,
“ Skip’s “ lawyer.
Barry was going to stay among his people in Oak Bluffs, but, the Gates controversy blew that up,
so now they’re staying in Chilmark- a short distance away.
It’s fine that the Obamas want to vacation with just black people.
Like they did in Hawaii-their entourage was all black.
Just don’t lecture us, like Eric Holder did in Feb ,
that “ Americans are cowards “ because they will interact with other races during the work week,
but, not on week ends and on vacation.
I remember reading a report that flitted across the news a few months ago, shortly after The One ascended to power. I don’t remember if it was the AF1 crew or the helicopter crew or some other set of people who are regularly in contact with him, but Obama said that he wanted people who “looked like him.” I thought it was truly bizarre that this would be the criterion used by a US president in selecting employees.
Did Bush want only late middle aged white men as his flight crew? I doubt it.
Aside from what appears to be a suntan, Obama doesn’t look at all black, in the sense of “African American,” and I thought this was a truly strange basis for personnel selection.
