LOS ANGELES (AP) - A law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation into Michael Jackson's death says the pop star's personal doctor administered the powerful drug that authorities believe killed him.
Jackson regularly received the anesthetic propofol (PROH'-puh-fahl) to go to sleep. The official, who requested anonymity because the probe is ongoing, told The Associated Press on Monday that Dr. Conrad Murray gave Jackson the drug the last night of his life.

Maybe he was given secret orders to ‘put MJ to sleep’ for good.
If it hadn’t been for this quack of a doctor, Michael would still be with us today!
No kidding? In other news, sun rises in east, earth turns on axis, year is divided into four seasons...
If it wasn’t for this Doctor, there would have been another.
Another?
If it wasnt for this Doctor, there would have been another.

a lot cheaper than 150K a month too..
Another doctor, in his stead.
no no not counselor, CZAR of end of life issues
“f it wasnt for this Doctor, there would have been another.”
It could have been all of them.
Michael could have had ten drugs in his system, given by ten different doctors.
An unforeseen drug interaction might be at play too.
Then there were the earlier stories certain lots of the drug were tainted with bacteria.
Has the Obama administration, or any of the liberal congressional types from California, lambasted Dr. Conrad Murray for the “outrageous profits” he made?
My brother, who’s an anesthesiologist, wants to see this Murray do serious time. Apparently, there’s been a quiet push to have the DEA reschedule this drug for some time as a controlled substance. Which, as I understand it, will make life miserable for all of the other decent, ethical and law-abiding physicians out there. Now, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that the DEA, given the media exposure, will be forced to act.
Doubtful, IMO. Using propofol as an intravenous ‘sleeping pill’ is incredibly risky, and I have no trouble believing that the level of sedation just got too deep and that there was a period during which Michael Jackson wasn't monitored closely enough. He likely had respiratory arrest, followed by circulatory arrest. If this goes on too long it is very, very hard to resuscitate someone from.
I stand corrected. CZAR, or is it TSAR
This doctor may also find there's safety in numbers if he has Detective Poirot at his side doing the investigating .
Leni
that was sly...
How many more “doctors” from this obscure TN medical school are menacing the public? Do they have a license to do anything but prescribe drugs? Inquiring minds want to know...
If this goes on too long it is very, very hard to resuscitate someone from. <<<<<<<<
Especially when one is trying to perform CPR on a bed, though I doubt at the point MJ was discovered it would have done any good no matter how skillfully done.
Agree.
