Okay, this is getting really good. Dem Rep. Neil Abercrombie of Hawaii is going to introduce a resolution on the House floor today that seems designed to put House GOPers who are flirting with birtherism in a jam.
The measure Abercrombie will introduce commemorates the 50th anniversary of Hawaii’s statehood. But here’s the rub, his spokesman tells me: It describes Hawaii as Barack Obama’s birthplace.
“In the language of the resolution, there is a statement that Hawaii is the birthplace of the 44th President of the United States,” Abercrombie spokesman Dave Helfert confirms.
That confronts House GOPers with a choice: They can vote for the measure, and endorse the idea that Obama was born in Hawaii, which could earn the wrath of birthers. Or they can vote against commemorating the 50th state’s joining of our blessed Union. Or GOPers can skip the vote, but that could look nutty.

SHOW US THE REAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE, not the COUNTERFEIT birth certificate of the COUNTERFIED pres.
Or they could subpoena the documentation that would settle the question, since it is relevant to legislation on the floor.
I would just be happy if they would officially recognize the Doctor that brought this Historic President into the world...
What is his name? What harm can releasing his name do it is available on the Long version BC....

I think the republicans can simply say that there is an issue here, let’s see proof to put these “birthers” to rest.

This forces the issue and brings it out into the open.
There is too much that goes un-answered.
And why is it, the the MSM and this idiot Gibbs continue to tote out in front of us the Certificate of Birth that means nothing and has been shown to be fraudulent.
Easy.
Just vote “present” and demand evidence to determine one way or the other.
Congress can say anything they want but they cannot change the truth.
Actually, a piece of legislation like this would be great fodder for continuing the court cases seeking rememdy for the birth cert issue.
It would make it easier for a court to order Hawaii to release the birth cert....since now any birther can claim they need the birth cert. to prove that the govt was wrong in their resolution

It’s kinda funny. Because there is no proof, Congress has to vote on whether Obama was born in Hawaii.
That is what I was thinking. This situation was created by the Dems to create a “Damocles sword” situation for the Republicans. However, a little bit of political judo and you can now offer a subpoena in committee to resolve the issue and ask for an forgery specialist to review the documentation. All in the interest of truth and putting this issue to rest.
This would flip the Dems and put them on the defensive. Because the if they vote against allowing for the subpoena, they give cover to the Republicans to not support this “unsettled issue”.
