The long-awaited 911 tape and audio of the controversial July 16 arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. are being made public for the first time today, Cambridge officals just announced.
The tapes will speak for themselves, said Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas.
Hass said the tapes will create some confusion, but only with police codes youll hear but the remainder of the tapes are crystal clear.
Its in plain language in most part and you can draw your own conclusions, Haas.
In the 911 tapes, Lucia Whalen can be heard spelling out the name of the street and saying that another woman approached her about seeing two men trying to enter the Ware Street home.

Got to be one of the lamest 911 dispatchers of all time.
Would you please post a link to that audio? All I’ve heard is the 911 call.
As a poster from Roger Simons site said. “He was sitting in First Class for hours and hours, and we should know what that means.
That means he was getting an endless supply of pardon the expression booze for hour after hour,
Some sleep in their big Fist Class Seats.
Some drink the endless supply of booze.
What did Gates do on his way home as a black man in America?
Did he sleep or did he drink?”
I guess we’ll know for certain in the next few minutes or the next hour or so. It’d seem as if they were hiding something if they just released part of the recordings. I don’t think there is any legal prohibition to releasing everything.
Faux news is dissing a Police Officer. Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals 5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."I post this yesterday and the FR admin pulled it !
Where did you hear it? Could you give the rest of us the link?
My question was suggestive.
Yes, I think he was condescending to the caller. I think he had an attitude.
Some would say I have an attitude. Maybe so. It’s contagious.
The man said something about "hope change"
Yea, that’s what I wondered. What does this show? Just that the 911 operator was sort of a jerk,
Yes, he was condescending. A jerk.
Obviously, a screaming, lunatic racist. She was so blinded by racism, she couldnt even see their skin color clearly!
I wonder if the 911 operator had access to the same database as I just found? Or, when the 911 operator pulled their own internal record that the phone itself at the "Gate's" house showed as being owned by Harvard too? Either way it may have been impossible for the 911 operator or the police dispatcher to know who was supposed to be in the house because it is owned by Harvard, NOT Gates. Maybe this is why the police called Harvard over to secure the house. They knew the house was owned by Harvard.
All emergency DISPATHER’S always ask- white, black, or hispanic?
It is used to help the police...
But the race baiters will make a big deal of this.
I think Asians and Native Americans should protest that the 911 dispatcher did not recognize their ethnicities as options.
bingo. too much common sense for liberals though.
LOL
