Oh DTA, don't get your hopes up! This "news" report from Simon Caldwell at the Mail Online (LOL) is completely easy to "defrock". The headline itself is an obvious lie, "Pope defrocks priests over "'visions' of the Virgin Mary". Au contraire, it is not so. If it was so, there would be so many more priests to defrock! The actual reasons for the defrocking are in the article but just ignored in order to allege the false "reasoning" that the Mail, and DTA, prefers.
The real history of Tomislva Vlasic is actually better reading. The apparitions began in June, 1981 and the parish priest of Medjugorje, later imprisoned by the Communists, was Fr. Jozo Zovko.

It looks like Fr. Vlasic is being removed from the cure of souls for his 'spiritual marriage' with a self-described German mystic. He hasn't had anything to do with the Medjugorje visionaries for about 20 years.
But one thing still baffles me. How could the Daily Mail get this story so wrong?
