The former has a “certificate” number and is referred to as a certificate. It is not fraudulent generically. It is what is issued currently by the state of Hawaii. I agree we need to see the latter document given the fact that the former can be issued regardless of where the individual was born. And there are some real questions about Obama’s copy.

I never did understand why they would black out the certificate number - that was always a red flag to me. It makes no sense to black out the certificate number - you would just pull up the same document.

What you posted as an "authentic" birth certificate appears to be a copy of the original typewritten certificate. Obama's appears to be the electronic copy they give you now if you request a copy from the state. Apparently, records were digitized in 2001.

Interestingly, on this site that contends that Obama's certificate is not real (because they claim it doesn't have raised seal, which other pictures of it show it does the example they show as a "real" certificate looks exactly like Obama's, ie. an electronic printout. Same with this purportedly "real" certificate.

The truly big tip off on that fake COLB is the different font size in the date from the font in the rest of the document. Its all identical on MY Hawaii COLB.
