Probably the government burning a pot farms. Nothing to worry about. ;-)

The CDC trucks carrying prisoners keep going past our house to go fight the fire.

Actually, the pot farmers will light them as a diversion to their plot when it gets to harvesting time...

As someone who had to evacuate once last year and then on warning to evacuate this year. Both times fires raged within clear view of my home and looked just blocks away in Santa Barbara my heart and prayers are with you both. Take care and feel free to FReepmail me if you have any questions about preparations or just increasing anxiety.
I feel pretty savvy in this area now sadly. In the meantime pray and do get a list together of things you can pack out with you that are of importance. Then even if you do not have to evacuate you feel better that you are ready. Also prepare evacuation plans for you and your family if necessary. Even if you do not need to go all of these things can be useful if the winds change quickly or kick in high gear. Bless you both.

Pack your most valuable possessions and be ready to move on. The timber and fuel is ripe for fire due to your high temps and canyon winds...

We must be neighbors - It is only a few miles from our house. I think it is about 7 miles from Jupiter.

That is a great site. Thanks. We are on Big Hill, way in - almost Cedar Ridge. My friend lives in Jupiter and they are getting ready to help their neighbors pack up. It is a little way from their house yet.
Do you know if it on the other side of the river from us?

I’m on Middle Camp Road. We went and took a peek after dinner, down near South Fork. Pretty scary.
