There is a part of the story that just about every one is ignoring - including posters here.
It is something that people should start concentrating on and it goes like this:
Some say there is no reason for Ann to have gone to Kenya.
There is a very important reason for her to have gone there.
Obama Sr LIED on his application to get married (where is the press on this)
There was no legal marriage in the US.
I repeat for the Press including Ann Coulter ...THERE WAS NO LEGAL MARRIAGE IN THE US.
Kenya would not have considered it a legal marriage as you could not mix statutory marriages with customary marriages.
There is NO PROOF that they got married in the US - but there is a divorce claiming they got married. So what, Obama Sr already showed he was willing to lie. Maybe the divorce decree was really for the marriage in Kenya????
Back in the 60s..there was a stigma with teenagers getting pregnant.
There was a stigma with illegitimate babies.
there was a stigma with mixed race babies.
They get Obama Sr to wed Ann - he might not have even been the father. He doesn’t look like Obama and there certainly never seemed to be a REAL marriage relationship with Ann (maybe it was a ploy to get him US citizenship that went awry for whatever reason...INCLUDING because he was already married)
Problem is..not a legitimate marriage.
The only way to get a legitimate marriage would be for her to go to Kenya and have a customary marriage.
Remember that Sr had people backing him. In fact, that may be how he got forced into this charade.
How does that effect citizenship.
If born in Kenya - UK citizen. US citizen IF US Immigration did not recognize any of the marriages because there was only a one year requirement for out of wedlock child.
They wouldn’t recognize the one in Hawaii..but they might if there was a customary marriage in Kenya ( I haven’t look into whether they would)
So US citizenship based on whether he was born out of wedlock if born in Kenya.
UK citizenship ONLY if born in Kenya or there was a customary marriage. This was later outlawed (because she was domiciled in the US) but they might not have taken away his citizenship if he already had it.
UK citizen could not have been conferred on him if born IN THE US without a Legal Marriage. So far, we know there wasn’t one.
Bottom line, there absolutely is a reason for her to have gone to Kenya and Hawaii would have allowed a hawaiian birth certificate. Hell bells, he could have been born in a hut somewhere. Didn’t Hawaii law allow for someone born of a midwife etc to be registered as a Hawaiian citizen?
Maybe that is what is showing on his birth certificate and he doesn’t want anyone to know. Born by midwife in Hawaii (but really in Kenya) and no proof it was actually Hawaii anywhere...thus showing up his lie about being born in such and such Hospital. Mystery birth, no documents, other than a claim on the birth certificate that it was in Hawaii.
Ann Coulter should pay attention to the issues here instead of waving it off. She isn’t even paying attention to the fact that Sr and possibly Ann LIED - punishable by prison- to get married.
Exactly. And for me, what this is all boiling down to is that I want to see the signatures of the attending doctors and nurses on the document. That will be the only "proof" I will accept. ANYTHING other than that, and Obamis claim of Hawaiian birth will still only remain a "claim".
