I love Sarah Palin but I do wonder if this is the right thing. Somehow quitting never seems to be the best option.
I am sure writers at the Miami Herald are up nights worrying about Palin. I think they should worry about their dismal bottomline and further irrelevance as their Emperor Obama shows everyday he is less and less clothed.
Tina Fey may come to have deep financial regrets.
Consider it a strategic redeployment instead of quitting.
When the enemy has your # , change tactics and the game.
Enough playing within the rules that everyone knows is unfair.
Time to take the fight to the other side.
:-)
have faith. God works in mysterious ways. Who would have thought Esther being taken would have turned out as it did?
If she completed her term the libs would just say she is only a one-term governor with numerous ethics probes. She will never get favorable treatment from the MSM.
We are about to find out if she has a message that resonates with America. I think she is an Obama killer. She is genuine, Obama is a phoney. She has reined in government, Obama expands it. She understands the life most Americans live, Obama does not. Obama speaks of compassion for the weak and helpless, Palin lives it.
The left is deathly afraid of her.
I think it was the only option available to her.
The democratic attacks had made the position of Governor untenable for her.
There were what, 18 ethics complaints filed against her. The legal bills were huge and she was obligated to pay them - not the State of Alaska.
They even filed a complaint about her forming a legal defense fund.
That was the most recent ‘ethics complaint’ that was leaked.
The democratic shill in charge of it decided it would be an ethics violation if she accepted any of that money to pay those legal bills ...
She had not yet accepted any of the money as she was waiting for this issue to be cleared.
Given their position, she was going to be continued to subject to vicious, unfounded attacks without the necessary funds to refute them.
Somebody recently put together a video showing the links of the people who were attacking her to the democrats.
She resigned to stop the useless expense to the taxpayers of Alaska from having to defend against the petty legal challenges. I don't call that "quitting." I call it "strategic," and I think she is going to be much more useful and effective once she is free of the constraints of the office of governor. Sometimes, an office can be more of a burden and hindrance than the title is worth.
I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. She's no qitter. Period.
I am with you. It won’t be popular around here but this will be spun as a quitter. if she stayed and countersued the accusers she could prove some serious political mettle for 2012. Isn’t there a senate race coming up though?
