A palate cleanser occasioned by this weekends official resignation. Nothing too surprising here from any of the participants but the prospect of a Coulter/Frum faceoff over Hot Air readers favorite Republican is too juicy to resist. Plus, it beats the hell out of the umpteen thousand Alaskans debate Palins legacy pieces being cranked out by the media this weekend. Man on the street #1: I love her! Man on the street #2: I hate her! Wash, rinse, repeat.
Frum does raise an interesting point at the end, though. Of the potential big three GOP candidates for 2012 Romney, Huck, and Sarahcuda do any have the potential to unite moderates and conservatives after a bruising primary? Its hard to imagine Mitt turning out the whole evangelical base but its also hard to imagine Palin turning out Romney-supporting centrists. Huck as compromise choice?

Palin/Cheney 2012
“Huck as compromise choice?”
Just like McCain in 2008. How’d that work out, again...?
I agree...
Kids, this is the real concern....these bastards know they can’t beat her, and they are going to try and kill her...
If it came down to a choice between Huckabee and Romney,
I’d vote PALIN!
EVERY politician running for Senate, the House or POTUS breaks “their contract” so they can concentrate on the campaign. Sarah did it explicitly and legitimately. The others continue to “serve” in name only, drawing the paycheck, but doing absolutely none of the peoples’ work To me, that spells integrity.
Tuesday, July 21, 2009 Moderates Republicans and the GOP Field
For the second month in a row we found Sarah Palin as the most popular of the leading 2012 GOP hopefuls among moderate Republicans. 64% have a positive opinion of her compared to 57% for Newt Gingrich, 53% for Mike Huckabee, and 45% for Mitt Romney.
Bay Buchanan is a convert to Mormonism that joined the Romney campaign as a senior advisor.
We can search for clues within this post to explain why she hates Palin.
I think the subject is Pres. of the U.S. not Pres. of the
local Rotary Club.
Frum is a has-been Dimocrat flack.
Forget about Huck—there’s no fight in him.
The so-called “Romney-supporting centrists” (elitist republicans) are the types who didn’t like Reagan in the beginning but later voted for him. These types ultimately have no mind of their own and will follow the crowd. I believe they will easily vote for Palin once she’s nominated.
Forget them except to removed them, forever.

I think it is a ‘good thing’ that people like David Frum are opposed vociferously to Governor Palin. As I understand it, Frum was a member of that hard-core group of neo-conservatives, that did so much damage to the Bush Administration and to the conservative cause generally—particularly among independents and ‘moderates. As I understand neoconservatives, they are mostly former leftist radicals, who got ‘mugged by reality’. Even when they change their ideology, they retain their Leftist temprements. Sarah Palin, on the other hand is a true conservative with libertarian leanings in the Reagan tradition. It would be an advantage to her, particularly with moderates, to keep her distance from extremist neocons like Frum.
Huck as a compromise choice? HELL NO.
The McCain/Palin ticket was up 8 pts. days prior to September 18th.
Obama was losing until the DNC played their October surprise on the economy
and the RomneyTeam attacked Gov. Palin and her children to throw Election2008.
I bet Frum hates Palin for the exact same reason that liberal progressive Jews do.
it’s ironic maybe
and also that the Jews who do like Palin do so largely because of those same values the others loathe
i would have never thought it would become a liability in America to have faith and values
what reason would that be?
Two self aggrandizing politicians, probably not, on the other hand two patriots might. I guess we will soon know which group those two belong to. My guess is the first group. After of course they will repeatedly tell us we must nominate a candidate that can win. Go Arnold!
That dog don't hunt on this forum. She as a defenseless target, as Governor, now we shall et a true test.
