t was a marked change in tone for Gates, 58, who in the days following his arrest gathered up his legal team and said he was contemplating a lawsuit. He even vowed to make a documentary on his arrest to tie into a larger project about racial profiling.

He stirred the feces and now it’s time to move on?
To: Dubya
Release the audio of him the officer recorded.
Let’s hear what got him handcuffed. I would bet he wasn’t a mild mannered professor.

The race pimp got EXACTLY what he wanted:
1. He’s a hero to millions of ignorant sheeple.
2. He’s got the backing of Obammy.
3. He’s free to turn this into the golden goose.

Obama is polling terribly on this, Rahm called Gates and read him the riot act, he promised to shovel some Stimulus money to Gates somehow as ‘reparations’ for this inconvenience, and that’s the end of it.
That’s how I envision what led to Gates making his plea to “move on” from this.

Yeah, I'll bet it's time to move on. The longer this stuff lingers the worse it smells. soon the media may actually begin to ask some difficult questions, like who was that second guy that vanished into the mists? And how come "Doctor" Gates doesn't seem to have ever finished a dissertation anywhere?

Release the audio of him the officer recorded. You hit the nail on the head. The only reason he wants to move on is to prevent these tapes from being released. My guess is they will show him to be the elitist a#$hole he truly is.

Release the audio of him the officer recorded I don't think he can release it, unless Gates files a formal complaint or a lawsuit.
Probably some privacy issues.
And Gates knows it.

Yes; Gates had his 'day' and say. . .and now, folks; the Professor says it is time to move on. Can only say. . .'not so fast' Professor!
Gates, now doubt; begining to see; as does Obama no doubt; that this could turn into another 'Rev. Wright' unfolding.
More focus now being place upon Gates himself. . .as to the 'who/what' and 'what for' of this 'renowned communist 'scholar'.

Regarding Henry Gates' prowess as a "scholar", here is an excerpt from a column by Mark Steyn from yesterday:
I confess I've been wary of taking Henry Louis Gates at his word ever since, almost two decades back, the literary scholar compared the lyrics of the rap group 2 Live Crew to those of the Bard of Avon. "It's like Shakespeare's 'My love is like a red, red rose,'" he declared, authoritatively, to a court in Fort Lauderdale.
As it happens, "My luv's like a red, red rose" was written by Robbie Burns, a couple of centuries after Shakespeare. Oh, well. 16th century English playwright, 18th century Scottish poet: What's the diff?
