They have to notify the family.
Where is Dad?
Then you have various ‘Stepdads’, Uncles and a lot of records have to be sorted through to find them all, even though probably ‘in the system’.
Besides the Mom has to get her story straight on what a good boy her son is and he was trying hard to get ‘back on track’ and he is doing well in 3rd grade but the other kids make fun of him because he is so tall (fact he is 18 may have a bearing here)etc etc etc....

The dog was not seriously injured.Good news there.
And it sounds like the cops are getting adequate range time.
Finally, three days paid vacation for saving the taxpayers the costs of a trial and incarceration sounds like a good bargain.
