Jul 24, 2009 6:15 PM A group of House Democrats announced a deal today to revise a provision in health care overhaul legislation that would significantly change the Medicare reimbursement system.
House leadership and members of the Ways and Means Committee reached agreement to eliminate regional disparities in Medicare reimbursements and implement a more value-based reimbursement system.
Members will insert this language into pending legislation to expand insurance coverage to 50 million Americans when the bill comes to the floor.
