My guess is that they destroy the forms after they copy them. I read a story about a guy that bought an AR15 in California and had a fire call to his address later and someone heard on the scanner to be careful because the guy had bought an AR 15.

Well depending on what the conversation was if there is guns in a house that is on fire is kind of need to know for firefighters imo.

Though readily being able to pull up information as to exactly what they have is something they shouldn’t be able to do.
