And last month I somehow set off the office silent alarm when I unlocked the door. The police showed up and even though I was wearing our company uniform and waiting for them outside the building with my dog, they requested my ID and phoned it in. They have a responsibility to verify the identity of a person wants access to a building or home.

I somehow set off the office silent alarm when I unlocked the door.

Following the funeral of my grandmother a bunch of years ago, I was the first one back to my sister's house afterwards. Altho she had given me instructions on how to disable the house alarm, I still couldn't figure it out. The alarm system is also broadcast to the local police who were there faster than you can imagine.

I met them at the door, let them into the house, answered every question, gave my ID, all the while trying to turn off the alarm which eventually shut itself off.

Police remained on scene till the family arrived and everyone, cops included, had a good laugh at my expense.........
