Streety's doctor said the officer is lucky to be alive. He was saved by a bullet proof vest and a commemorative coin he kept in his wallet, which was struck by a bullet.

That's what I was wondering. If he survived that, he's blessed.
Growing up, one of my neighbors was a conservation officer for 30 years.
He said he never had to draw his gun.
That's pretty amazing, considering how many times he must have come upon deer hunters sitting on a stump with a rifle and a bottle of Jack Daniel's.

Yes, I thought it pretty incredible too.
Unfortunately times have changed. A lot of times they run into these meth labs deep in the woods too. Amazing they don’t get shot at more often.

He never had to draw his gun, but....a few times he had to use his hands, feet, riot baton, or blackjack, to put someone down.
He was a good man, never wanted to go to the last resort.

    Unpossible.
Everybody knows that a .45 will blow your arms and legs off and decapitate you.
Even a near miss will ‘splode your heart.
