"A long-form birth certificate with details about the doctor who delivered Obama no longer exists, they reported. The shorter Certificate of Live Birth noting Obama’s birth on Aug. 4, 1961, that has been made public is the official record."

BS

I never knew a bureaucrat who ever gave up information, it is like giving up one of their children. I would bet the original was microfilmed and can be printed or the data is in a database. I would take anything else as a LIE.

This sounds like the noise that is comming out of Iran. All lies.

Where is Baghdad Bob when you need him.

In November 2008 the Director of Health for the State of Hawaii said they had his original long form and that she saw it. Yet CNN says it was destroyed in 2001?

Big lies!!!

"...no longer exists..." or "...never existed..." ?

Exactly. Going paperless only means that the paper no longer exists in a file cabinet down the hall. The image of that piece of paper would still be available.

This is spin, pure and simple. They're dancing on the head of a pin, hoping America buys it. What this tells me, though, is that they are very worried.

Exactly. It should still exist (if it ever existed) since legal documents aren’t willy nilly destroyed. Because all the big thick books were taking up room and the older ones were beginning to fall apart, there was a project back in the 80’s to scan everything onto microfilm/fiche. The original documents were placed into storage. Now days they’re probably moving everything again but this time to computers.
