Very soon after being sworn in January 2005, Melancon joined the Blue Dog Democrats. Yeah? Well, maybe for a Dem he was somewhat conservative in his first couple of years(Lifetime 46 ACU Rating) but Monsieur Melancon’s ACU numbers took a nosedive in 2007 and 2008 with 36% and 12% respectively. When push comes to shove he will vote the Pelosi way.
