The controversy over the arrest of Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. escalated Friday, as Cambridge, Mass., police union officials called on President Obama to apologize for his criticism of the arresting officers and the White House moved to blunt criticism of the president's remarks...
snip
Earlier in the day, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs dismissed a suggestion that the backlash from police groups could be distressing to the White House, given that Obama has enjoyed a positive relationship with the law enforcement community.
"I think the Fraternal Order of Police endorsed McCain," Gibbs fired back, referring to Obama's Republican opponent in the 2008 election. "If I'm not mistaken."
When a reporter pointed out that Obama had won the support of the Policemen's Benevolent Association, Gibbs conceded: "We got some." ...

It’s time for the Cambridge PD to release the tapes of Gates’s foul mouth. The tapes should be plastered wall-to-wall on the Internet.

Given the intellectual quality of the WH residents, they’d best not exchange barbs with a bowl of jello.

Obama does not need the police. He will arm ACORN and the Black Panthers, to do his bidding. Just like Iran used Hamas and the like.

So let me see if I have this right — Zero and his puppets think that anything Zero says or does is OK as long as the receiving party didn’t support him in the election. So if my organization supported someone other than Zero, I’m fair game to be on the short end of Zero’s policies. I guess that conversely, any organization that supported me is on my “A” list, correct? So all it takes is to find ONE, just ONE subversive or criminal element that supported Zero and he is toast, right?
Do these idiots ever stop? This fool MUST GO!

I have NEVER heard any such partisan hackery from *ANY* Republican administration, EVER.
I do remember hearing such stuff from the Klintoon administration from Forehead Begala and George Steponallofus.

Our affirmative action, race baiting, arrogant, angry Commander in Chief should never opened his mouth on this one. I think he saw what he thought was an easy shot at bemoaning racial profiling and jumped in to score points with his peeps. Unfortunately, he picked the wrong cop. This officer couldn't be a better example of someone who has spent his career promoting racial unity and diversity. Obama let the mask slip and we got an eyeful of what he's all about.
