reminds me of a joke: Rita and Vinnie are making out in a car.
Rita: Vinnie, kiss me where it stinks.
So Vinnie drove her to NJ.

Missed that. Okay 9 Democrats and 1 fig-leaf Republican to provide political cover. My next guess is that the charge against the Republican is totally bogus, not because Republicans aren't capable, but when this many Democrats are caught red-handed with their grubby fingers in the cookie jar, then prosecutorial staff always need a Republican fish to counter any bias claims.
This also gives the state-run media cover to ID the Republican in all stories and omit any references to Democrats.

All but one of the officeholders are Democrats. What a shock. So that's why their party affiliation is being kept secret by the media. If they were all Republicans, this "Republican scandal" would fill the news cycle 24/7 for at least a year.
Gawd I have no respect for the media. What a bunch of losers.

NJ is a beautiful state. Stayed with my sister and totally enjoyed riding the train from Morristown to NYC. The little towns were so charming. I wanted to stop at every one to walk around.
Still NJ is a little weird with no left turns and no pumping your own gas...

New Jersey, the very definition of a blue state, corrupt?
I’m shocked, SHOCKED!
Convict the perps, and send them to be hired by the Obamaloon for his cabinet.

Took nine paragraphs before we get to this
“Among the 44 people arrested were the mayors of Hoboken, Ridgefield and Secaucus, Jersey City’s deputy mayor, and two state assemblymen. A member of the governor’s cabinet resigned after agents searched his home, though he was not arrested. All but one of the officeholders are Democrats.”

In defense of the media on that one, it's worth noting that many local elected offices in New Jersey are "non-partisan." No party primary system at all in these places . . . candidates gather signatures on a petition to get on the ballot, and they're listed on the ballot with no party affiliation at all.
This is how Republican Bret Schundler ended up getting elected in a Democratic stronghold like Jersey City some years ago. He was the lone Republican on the ballot with a bunch of different Democrats.
