As late as three weeks ago, two months after court records show the state of Maryland agreed to settle a lawsuit with money and words of contrition over the arrest of a musician accused of e-mailing a bomb threat to the airport, he was still in court fighting to get authorities to say they were sorry.

Police at the time had linked Spicka's computer to the e-mail from the similarities between the two Internet signatures - his was "georgetheother" and the threatening e-mail came from "George Orwell" - according to court documents. Police also said that the threat came from a computer at Spicka's house that had been used to post strong opinions on Maryland politics and the governor.
Congratulations and thank you for standing up to an abusive government. The authorities were well aware that you were a Freeper. I wonder if that played a part in how hard they came down on an innocent man.
Funny, I had exactly the same reaction. Although I suppose this sort of thing can happen anywhere, I really do not like Maryland.

I grew up in that godforsaken hell hole, and one of the most heartwarming sights was seeing Montgomery County in my rear view mirror many years ago, I’ve been back exactly one time in over 20 years, and didn’t even stay the night.
It’s my understanding that leftists, America-haters and their associated liberal scumbags in San Francisco have contingency plans to fly to Maryland as homeless immigrants should the ‘Big One’ (earthquake) ever strike California sending the City by the Gay into the sea.

What folks don’t remember is the way you were arrested, threatening to shoot your dog... purposely ‘losing’ your cell phone...confiscation of fireams...and also, the way they ‘released’ you in the dead of night dressed in your bedroom slippers and no money.
