For First Time, Obama's Approval Rating Falls Below 50%

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance, RASMUSSEN will report later this morning.

This marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats continue to approve of the President'’s performance while 80% of Republicans disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 37% offer a positive assessment.

The President earns approval from 51% of women and 47% of men.

RASMUSSEN was the most accurate pollster for the final results of the 2008 Presidential election.

I think a couple more prime time news conferences are called for. That will fix everything.

Now that 0bama has revealed his own racism publicly, the “white guilt” is lifted and people will now be honest about his total incompetence.

Honeymoons tend to be shorter when the happy couple lives together before marriage...Obama and the Dems were definitely conjugally cavorting before marriage...

” considering 97% of blacks still approve of him, although about 15% of them are unemployed, seems to suggest his ratings can drop only so far, unfortunately.”

Exactly , which is why I posted the 13% number . Blacks are 13% of the population .

Poor Barry. It seems Obama is failing at everything. Rasmussen has the following poll highlights:

Just 20% Say Health Care is Obama’s Top Priority
53% Say Obama is a Partisan Democrat
53% Now Oppose Congressional Health Care Reform

Obama at 45% yesterday on Rasmussen single day poll!!!

Rasmussen's poll is a 3 day running average. Obama has been steady at 51% for the past few days. In order to get a 49% in a 3 day rolling average, that means yesterday as a single day Obama polled at 45% approval.

if they ram another craptastic bill thru the House again over the objections of the public, he will be under 30% within a week

Not likely. He will get a bump from wax-spine moderate voters for "fixing" healthcare. Mark my words.

Cue up the record - those were the days my friend....

Hey 0bama, who would have EVER thought, that AMERICANS of all people would not ENJOY a Government whose stated objectives are to COERCE us to do the things YOU want?

Quite shocking really.

80% of Republicans disapprove.

Only 80%? I don’t care what kind of Republican one classifies themselves as I don’t see how any could approve of Obama’s programs in general. There is something for all Republicans, social, economically, judicial, and/or national defense conservatives, or even moderate, to abhor. I don’t see how anyone other than a devout leftist could appreciate the direction the President wants to take the country.

Seems odd anyone would consider themselves Republican but agree with the President’s job so far.

Now on the poll numbers of Reagan, Nixon, and Clinton during this same period of there presidency let’s be clear on the comparison:

Reagan’s plan for growth was in it’s infancy and he had a Dem House to deal with too.
Nixon lucked out with the violent ‘72 Dem convention and the Eagleton controversy.
Clinton was ironically saved by the ‘94 GOP congress.

Obama has no plan for growth, only the opposite, and even if the GOP should regain the Senate and House (doubtful. Gains yes, control, no) he will fight them every step. So Obama’s best chance is to face a weak candidate like McGovern and a divided GOP. That is still possible if we allow it. Hopefully we can pick a good candidate and quick in 2012.

Obozo is a hardcore Marxist. You are dreaming. That will never ever happen.

Can you imagine if this was Bush’s reaction to a AA officer arresting one of his cronies? And, the conie hurled a “yo mamma on the porch” slur at the officer??? They’d be busing in protesters, (ACORN).

(I still think it’s all a setup. Hopefully it backfires.)

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats continue to approve of the President'’s performance while 80% of Republicans disapprove.

Of course. When Oboma says "spread the wealth around" he means "Give it all to democrats." After all, they're "Americas rightful owners."
All the money goes way. The democrat base will always need to be fed. Some one has do do the labor so his base can have a comfortable life.

Believe that time is on our side. The economy is no where near healthy. Unemployment continues to rise and that’s the big one. People relate to someone losing a job, especially if its their own. Barry’s policies have done nothing to lessen the recession. In fact, they’ve probably extended it unnecessarily. The average American was and is willing to give him a chance. We are six months in. If things are the same or worse in six more that approval rating will drop like a stone. Hell, at this point he’s only got a 37% approval rating among independents. And don’t think for a second that these rat congress critters aren’t watching these numbers either. As they drop he’s going to meet greater and greater resistance within his own party in Congress. Where’s the popcorn?
