For First Time, Obama's Approval Rating Falls Below 50%

Overall, 49% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance, RASMUSSEN will report later this morning.

This marks the first time his overall approval rating has ever fallen below 50% among Likely Voters nationwide. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats continue to approve of the President'’s performance while 80% of Republicans disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 37% offer a positive assessment.

The President earns approval from 51% of women and 47% of men.

RASMUSSEN was the most accurate pollster for the final results of the 2008 Presidential election.

O Care is not dead.

They are voting on the house bill before the recess. ANd they wouldn’t dare that unless they had the votes.

Beware of premature celebrating. If he gets the House, he will get the Senate no matter what we think.

Below fifty percent - AND headed south faster than a duck in winter.

BHO is now well on his way to being both the most incompetent AND the most unpopular president in the entire two-hundred-plus-year span of American history.

Reagan, Nixon, and Clinton all fell below 50% in their first term but all won reelection

This is far, far from over, but this is a very important event. The media has lied in painting this guy as the second coming. The people were led along for awhile, but the truth is becoming apparent to more and more people. He is a radical and he is doing all the wrong things. I will be really celebrate when he drops another 10-15 points, but this ya gotta hit 49% before you go lower. Let's keep the pressure on. The more they push this health care boondoggle, the better our chances are.

Is this first time in history that POTUS has below 50% approval numbers at this point? The most unpopular president in history?

Most partisan split ever, if I recall (+80% D vs -83% R).

But no, not even at this point, there have been much worse.

And keep it in perspective. Bush was around 33% after Iraq petered out.

So Barry has PLENTY of "popularity" at this point to pressure congress with. Healthcramp will pass in the House. Easy. Oh...and Barry will get a popularity bump from it when it does.

Gee, we didn’t care about this when Bush was president, why do we care now?

Its more important that his agenda be recognized as the evil it is and defeated. Don’t worry about the polls until he’s up for re-election.

But they didn’t fall below 50 percent in after their first 6 months did they?

This guy’s sinking quite quick...

He still has approval of 51% of women.

Repeal the Nineteenth Amendment.

But this should still be the honeymoon.

Hussein is trying to twist arms to get passage of increasingly unpopular bills. His ability to get cooperation from Congress is dependent on his own popularity. As his popularity drops, his ability to twist arms also drops, he fails to advance his agenda, and his popularity drops further as the people who thought they would make money off this find out that they won't.

Boy, that didn’t take long. I suppose the drop directly corrolates with Obama revealing his true self: cops are stupid racists, and doctors (and other businessmen) are blood-sucking, greedy pigs.

Two things can save him.
1) A GOP, conservative congress
2) he decides that free market principles are the way to go

America finally saw the REAL Obama at the press conference; a bigoted angry black man who hates cops and white people and rich people and doctors and bankers and who can ramble for an hour at a press conference without answeing a single pre-screened question and who lterally knows nothing about anythying and who does not have the dignity to be a trash collector much less the POTUS.

Not only that...

But you know these numbers are inflated by the MSM.

He may be closer to 39 percent... rather than 49

You’re correct. obama is a narcissist, for sure.

His sinking poll numbers are injury to his ego. He’s got to be raging over this, and his little criticism about the white police officer acting “stupidly” is probably the tip of the iceberg of what’s going on in his head.

It seems that fanning the flames between whites and blacks is his payback to America for sinking poll numbers.

We should start speculating if Obama will resign from office because he's way over his head.

The difference between campaigning and governing is that you have to make real decisions to actually govern. Rhetorical flourishes won’t cut it anymore. And when you make decisions, you pi$$ people off. This isn’t just an Obama problem—though “The One” is long overdue for some comeuppance.

Its also interesting to note that despite the MSM’s insistance that Obama is “highly popular”, he is anything but. His approval ratings are lackluster compared to former Presidents at this point in their terms.

The Dems just can’t help themselves with tax and spend.

Ignoring his irrational 97 percent approval rating from blacks, he’s below 40 percent from everyone else.

Not good enough. For the Constitution to survive, Zero needs to be at 12% approval. Among Dems.
